For thou hast not feared that which the earth keeps hidden: / but thou didst raise me from the earth, O my God, / for Thy great mercy's sake, / by thy resurrection to the height eternal.

Eating the tree of knowledge in the food thereof was deceived by spiritual delusion, the progenitor of mankind, who listened to the Lord's precept: but by this mercy thou didst again exalt him to the first goodness, hearkening unto the Father when He had been made whole.

By Thy death, O Lord, death is vanquished;

Glory to God in heaven and on earth: Life upon the heavens and Creator of all,
In Thy immaculate womb, Thou didst dwell unspeakably in the virginal embrace,
Praising Thee, O surpassingly holy and most glorious,
And standing in the highest rank of uncreated powers:
Therefore we now glorify Thee on this earth.

By purity thou hast enlightened thyself, O Ever-Vigilant Lady; by thy holy dwelling thou wast the Master of all. For thou alone didst manifest thyself in the oblation of this babe.

Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
Носѧ́щи добро́тꙋ ѹ҆́мнꙋю, краснѣ́йшїѧ твоеѧ̀ дꙋшѝ, / невѣ́ста бж҃їѧ была̀ є҆сѝ, / запеча́тствована дв҃ствомъ чи́стаѧ, / и҆ свѣ́томъ чистоты̀ мі́ръ просвѣща́ющи.
Holding the sweet charity, O most beautiful Soul of Thee, / Thou wast the Bride of God, sealed with the seal of purity, / And enlightening the world with the light of holiness.

Да рыда́етъ собра́нїе ѕлочести́выхъ, / не проповѣ́дающихъ тѧ̀ ꙗ҆́вѣ чи́стꙋю бг҃ома́терь: / ты́ бо врата̀ бж҃їѧ свѣ́та ꙗ҆ви́ласѧ є҆сѝ на́мъ, / мра́къ прегрѣше́нїй разгонѧ́ющи.
Let the assembly of those full of joy weep,/
not proclaiming the pure doctrine of the Theotokos:/
for thou didst open the gates of light to us,/
driving away the darkness more grievous than night.

Catechism: Having partaken of the all-compassionate / With Thy most holy glory: For Thou, O Lord, art unapproachable light, / And didst bear within Thy womb all the Godhead, / And didst give birth to the eternal Son, / To all them that sing Thee, giving peace.
