Yirmos: There is none holy, /
As Thou, O Lord my God, /
exalt the horn of Thy faithful ones near Thee, /
and strengthen us upon the stones, /
confessing Thyself.
Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorify we.
God, being crucified, by the flesh seeing Thy countenance spreading fear:
but with a sustaining hand for our sake, Thou art held firmly.
Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy resurrection glorified Thee.
Death by death hath been destroyed lying in the grave without breath: / for not enduring the life-giving blow, it is made weak, and bestows resurrection to all.
Refrain: Having lifted up Thee, O Theotokos, save us.
The Theotokos: God's own glory in Thy nativity surpasses all the ranks of nature; for Thou, O Virgin, by a preeminent conception didst become pregnant in Thy womb, and after giving birth, didst remain ever two.
Andronicus. Chant: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful and life-giving Incarnation.
In the grave for three days lying,
Thou didst rise by Thy life-giving resurrection,
Before Thou wast made an offering of death.
And having loosed those bound in sorrow,
Joy hath come to them,
All deliverance hath come to Thee, O Lord, crying out.
Vespers: Glory to Thee, O Lord, for Thy merciful compassion and resurrection.
Glory to Thee, O Lord, our Risen Savior, / For Thou hast delivered us from the fire of hell and death, O All-powerful; / And we acclaim: / There is no strength like Thine, O Lover of mankind.
Refrain: Having ascended into heaven, save us, O Theotokos.
Крⷭ҇тобг҃оро́диченъ: Ты̀ ѿ тебѐ ро́ждшагосѧ ꙗ҆́кѡ ви́дѣла є҆сѝ ѹ҆ѧ́звлена копїе́мъ, / ѹ҆ѧзви́ласѧ є҆сѝ се́рдцемъ прест҃а́ѧ всенепоро́чнаѧ, / и҆ ѹ҆жаса́ющисѧ глаго́лала є҆сѝ: / что̀ тебѣ̀ воздадѐ, ча́до, наро́дъ пребеззако́нный;
Blessed be the City of God: Thou wast born from Thee, O Lady, having been pierced with a spear,
Thou wast pierced with a heart that was pure and immaculate,
And thou didst fearfully say:
What shall I give, my child, to this people without law?
Lord. Hymn: Having lifted up the Theotokos, save us.
Thou dost consume my corruptible flesh and mortal life, all-holy God,
And with ineffable reception into Thy womb, Thou didst receive it,
And having made this incorruptible, didst unite it unto Thee for ever.
Refrain: Having ascended into heaven, save us, O Theotokos.
Beholding Thee, O God, in the Incarnation by the sight of two, we were struck with fear at the countenance of an angel; and as a mother, the Virgin ever chants unceasing hymns to Thee.
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
We were struck with fear when the holy vision of Daniel revealed to him a stone cut without hands: and the mighty pillars of the world, by God, were crushed.
Now and forever and ever. Amen.
Not can the word of thy mortal flesh,
nor lower tongue extol worthily:
for from thee, without seed,
the life-giving Jesus Christ was made incarnate, transcending, well-pleasing.
Thou, O Theotokos, Song of Songs,
Living and without envy, fount of life,
In thyself gathered together in perfect beauty,
In Thy holy and most divine glory,
Wert crowned with the crown of glory.
O Lord, have mercy. [Three times.]
By the prayers of our holy Mother, Jesus Christ, O Lord, have mercy on us, amen.
Sedaleon, glas Dě. Podoben: Thou hast ascended on high:
We beseech Thee, O Master Merciful, preserve us from all visible and invisible enemies,
and from alien encroachments,
and from every calamity and tribulation,
who through faith and love celebrate the glorious Resurrection of Thy Son Jesus Christ,
for which sake Thou hast vouchsafed to grant us
the enjoyment of eternal blessedness.
Glory to Thee, and to Thy Son, and to Thy Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
Theotokos: Astonished was Joseph, seeing more than nature, and with his mind he perceived / how upon the fleece without seed, O Lady, the fire unquenchable, / by the rod of Aaron, moistened, testified; / and the baptizer and guardian invoked the priest: / Two thou begettest, and again in sheaves two remain.
