Irimos:

By life alone we are saved,
Through life eternal we are glorified;
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And Thou art Life, the Resurrection and the Life.

By life alone we are saved,
Through life eternal we are glorified;
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And Thou art Life, the Resurrection and the Life.

By the power of Thy divine grace, having been vouchsafed with clear vision, as with eyes Avvakum beheld, he proclaimed to thee, O Jesus Christ, in glory, for our salvation and renewal.

Who is this Saviour who, having gone forth and come again, bears a crown of thorns upon His head, wearing a purple robe, hanging on the wood; He is our Holy One, in our salvation and renewal.

Behold ye the people disobedient and ashamed: for his sake, whom ye have lifted up on the cross of Pilate and earnestly entreated for, breaking through the strength of death, God gloriously rose from the grave.

O Theotokos,

The tree of life and wisdom: for its fruit is not deadly to man, but the enjoyment of life ever present to those who partake thereof in peace, singing thee.

And Irmos: The Rod from the Root of Jesse:

Who is this adorned with the winepress, and hath the varied hue of the vine? Adorned as is God, adorned as is man, by the blood of his flesh turned to wine; to him we sing: Glory becometh thy power, O Lord.

Jesus Christ hath made the forgiveness of our sins to abound exceedingly: and having shown a strange way by His own blood, He entered into the better and more perfect tabernacle, passing through our flesh.

O Theotokos, rejoice!

Ancient debt thou hast besought, O All-Pure Virgin, for us who are thy offspring, that through the new Adam thou mightest be brought to light, having united thyself by a pure conception with a wise and quickened flesh from thee sprang Jesus Christ, one in essence with thee.

And Irmos: By Thy Holy Spirit:

Hast heard the wonders of heaven, and didst imbue the earth, O Lord, by the finger of Thy power, Adam's fall was brought to remembrance; therefore wast Thou called upon, and didst become the mother of our Redeemer, for our salvation and renewal.

We sing of Thy great and fearful mystery, O Lord, for the princes and powers bowing before Thee, as Thou didst descend in rain upon the fleece, all praising Thee, to those who sing to Thee.

Hallowed be Thy Name, O All-Pleasing Theotokos, and the language of prayer, and the comfort of the faithful; to Thee we cry, O Saviour and Giver of Life: pray for us unto Him.
