Irimos:
Thou, O Lord, hast created man in Thine own image and after Thy likeness; Thou didst make him a little lower than the angels, but crowned him with glory and honor. For Thou didst create him not for death, but for life eternal.
O One, who knowest the weakness of all human beings and art merciful toward them, Thou hast deigned to descend from Thy heights in power, O Lover of mankind, that Thou mightest cry out to Thee: Enlivened by Thee, I have uttered not the unspeakable glory of Thine.
God Thy Son is nearer to me than my own flesh, who hath stooped down and deigned to be incarnate for me, and to descend unto me as well-pleasing, Thou hast exalted me by the Cross, O Lover of Mankind: in the Temple enlivened, Thou hast not uttered Thy unspeakable glory, O Lover of Man.
Life eternal, O Son of God, Thou hast taken, having been wearied in me, as the merciful God didst forgive, entering into the mortal breast, didst destroy the power of death, didst rend asunder the kingdom of death, and on the third day didst rise again, clothing me with incorruption.
The Theotokos:
Of Thy will, O Lord, in the womb dual, by the Holy Spirit, Thou didst abide invincible, because Thou hast been foretold to the lawgiver Moses, as one who would be consumed with fire, yet Thou didst receive an unspeakable flame.
And Irmos: Before the ages from the Father:
Who, having taken the wayward soul in His own arm and having cast down the ancient tree upon which it was hung, beseeches God: Thou hast raised up our horn; Thou art the Lord.
Exalted be the Pastor great and from the depths of hell, and with the Holy Angels we have offered praise, with true and pustral faith of heart that we may serve.
O Theotokos,
Who from the two-fold Incarnation without seed by the will of the Spirit, and born according to the Spirit's birth, by a divine power we keep whole both, over all we cry to God: Holy art Thou, O Lord.
And only He knoweth:
O cloud light and true, following the prophetic utterances: for behold, upon thee shall the Lord lay low the Egyptian delusion wrought by hands, and enlighten them who serve thereby.
Thou sealed icon truly prophetic and fount of grace, and the door sealed named the purity of thy virginity, writing to us its holy tokens: wherefore didst thou keep it even unto death.
