Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee!

O One, who knowest the weakness of all human creatures and mercifully didst imagine within them, by Thy power Thou didst deign to cry unto Thee: Enlivened Temple, Thou hast not uttered the unspeakable glory of Thine, O Lover of Mankind.

God Thy Son is nearer to me than my life, who hast pitied the fallen and raised him up, and hast deigned to come unto me of Thine own will, having been lifted up by Thy passion, O Thou Who criest out to Thee: O Lover of mankind, in the Incarnate One I have not uttered Thy unspeakable glory.

Life heavenly of Thee, my God, in Thy wearied one, as merciful God didst forgive, into the breast death-sundering didst descend, death's power didst shatter, and on the third day didst rise again, in incorruptibility didst clothe me.

O Theotokos,

God, having willed in the womb to double, by the Holy Spirit, wast thou made invincible, because thou didst purchase for thee the lawgiver Moses, who was made invincible through thy ineffable fire, foretelling, O Fire unendurable, which received thee.

And Irmos: Before the ages from the Father:

Who, having taken the erring soul on Thy own arm and taught it by means of the wood that overthrew it, dost Thou beseech God: Raising up our horn, Thou art the Holy One, O Lord.

Exalted be the Pastor great of the abyss of Christ, and with the Holy Apostles we have offered up prayers in truth and by a faithful heart let us serve.

O Theotokos,

Who from the Virgin unbloody was made flesh by the will of God, and born according to the Spirit, preserving both immaculately, we cry to Thee with all our might: Thou art the Lord.

And Irmos: Alone Knowing:

O cloud light and true, following the prophetic utterances: for behold, upon thee shall the Lord lay low the Egyptian delusion wrought by hands, and enlighten them that serve.

Thou sealed Image truly prophetic and fount of grace, and the door sealed named the purity of thy Maidenhood, writing to us its holy signs: wherefore didst thou keep it even in travail.
