Son, open your mouth to the word of God, and judge all things wisely. Open your mouth and judge righteously, but reason wretchedly and weakly. Whoever finds a wife, my dearest is such a valuable stone. The heart of her husband is bold: such a one will not be deprived of good self-interest. He does good to his husband throughout his life. Having found wave and flax, create beneficial things with your hands. Like someone who buys a ship, he collects wealth from afar. And he rose out of the night, and gave food to the house, and work for the servants. Having seen the village, buy it and plant money from the fruit of your hands. Having girded his loins tightly, he will strengthen his muscles for work. And taste what goodness is to do, and its lamp does not go out all night. He stretches out his hands towards what is useful, but fixes his hands towards the waste. And he opens his hand to the poor, and stretches out his hand to the poor. Her husband does not care about those in the house, whenever he tarries: for all her clothes are the essence.

Make thick garments for your husband, and fine linen and purple for yourselves. Glorious is her husband at the gates, even if he sits in the congregation with the elders of the earth. You made the shrouds and sold them to Phoenician, and the aprons to Canaanite. open your mouth carefully and lawfully, and give a commandment to your tongue. They were clothed with strength and blindness, and they rejoiced in the last days. The paths of her house are narrow: the waste of laziness is not poison. opened her mouth wisely and lawfully: And her children raised up her alms, and she became rich: and her husband praised her. Many daughters have acquired wealth, created much power: but you have prospered and exalted yourself above all. There is no false gratification and vain feminine kindness in you: for a wise woman is blessed. Let this fear of the Lord praise. Give her of the fruit of her lips, and let her husband be praised in the gates.

Reading the book of Proverbs [31:8–32]

My son! Open your mouth to the word of God and judge everyone soundly. Open your mouth, and judge righteously, and decide the affairs of the poor and weak. Who will find a valiant wife? This is more valuable than precious stones. Her husband's heart relies on her, she is not left without a good profit. All the time she serves her husband for good and not for evil. Having prepared wool and flax with yarn, she does everything she needs with her own hands. Like a coming ship, she collects her wealth from afar. She gets up at night, distributes food in the house and work to the maids. Seeing a field, he buys and plants the purchased land with the fruits of his hands. Having tightly girdled her loins, she strains her muscles to work. She learned that it is good to work, and her lamp does not go out all night. She stretches out her hands to useful things and firmly holds the spindle with her fingers. She opens her hands to the poor, and extends her hand to the beggar. Her husband does not care about his family when he lingers where, because they are all dressed by her. She made double outer garments for her husband, and her garments were of fine linen and purple.

Glorious is her husband in the gates, when he sits in assembly with the elders and the inhabitants of the land. She makes bedspreads and sells them to the Phoenicians, and aprons to the Canaanites. Strength and beauty are her clothes, and she looks cheerfully at the end of her life. She opens her lips with attention when necessary, and speaks modestly with her tongue. The way to her house is hard, and she does not eat the bread of idleness. He opens his lips with wisdom and decorum. She esteems her children highly, and they become rich, and her husband praises her. Many daughters were powerful, many acquired wealth, many gained fame, but you succeeded and surpassed them all. There is no deceitful servility and vain feminine beauty in you. Blessed is the wise woman: she glorifies the fear of the Lord. Give her of the fruit of her mouth, and let her husband be glorified in the gates.
