Reading of Exodus (Exodus 1:1–20)
These are the names of the sons of Israel, who entered Egypt with Jacob their father, each of them with all their house: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin, Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher: Joseph was in Egypt. There were seventy-five more than all the souls that went out from Jacob. Joseph and all his brethren, and all his family, died. The sons of Israel grew and multiplied, and became many and became very strong: multiply their land. And the king arose in Egypt, who knew not Joseph, and said unto his tongue, Behold, the race of the children of Israel is a great multitude, and is stronger than us. Come, let us outwit them, lest they multiply: and if war befalls us, these too will be added to the adversary, and having overcome us, they will come out of the earth (ours). And put officers of affairs over them, so that they may become embittered in their affairs. And having created strong cities for Pharaoh: Pitho, and Ramess, and He, who is Heliopolis. Because I humbled them, I became very numerous and became very strong.
And the Egyptians abhorred the sons of Israel, and the Egyptians committed violence against the sons of Israel because of need, and I created a painful life in cruel deeds, with clay, and with planking, and with all kinds of work, even in the fields, in all deeds, even enslaving them out of need. And the king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew women: one is their name, Zipporah, and the second name, Puah, and he said (to them): always give birth to the Hebrew women, and the essence is for birth, if not If there is a male, kill him; if there is a female, provide for him. The women feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, and gave life to the male sex. So the king of Egypt called the women and said to them: Why do you create this thing and give life to the male sex? The women told Pharaoh: not like the Egyptian wives, but also the Hebrew wives: they give birth before the women come to them, and give birth. God does good to the women, and people multiply, and become greatly strengthened.
Reading Exodus [1:1–20]
These are the names of the sons of Israel who entered Egypt with their father Jacob, each with his own house: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun and Benjamin, Dan and Nephalim, Gad and Asher; Joseph was in Egypt. And all the souls that came from Jacob were seventy-five. And Joseph died, and all his brothers and all their generation. The children of Israel increased in number, and multiplied, and spread, and became very strong; and the land multiplied them. And another king arose in Egypt, who did not know Joseph. And he said to his people: “Behold, the people of the children of Israel are very numerous and greater than us. Let's outwit them so that the people no longer grow in number, and if a war happens among us, they do not join the opponents and, having entered into war with us, do not leave our land. And he assigned work supervisors to them so that they would exhaust them with labor; and they built fortified cities for Pharaoh: Pithom, and Ramess, and He, which is the City of the Sun. As much as they were weakened, they became more numerous and very, very strong; and the Egyptians feared the children of Israel.
And the Egyptians greatly oppressed the children of Israel and exhausted their lives with hard work with clay and burning bricks and all the work in the fields - all the labor with which they could be greatly enslaved. And the king of the Egyptians said to the Jewish midwives - the name of one of them was Zipporah, and the name of the second was Puah: “When you help Jewish women in childbirth, and they are ready to give birth, if there is a male child, kill him, but if there is a female child, leave him.” But the midwives feared God and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, and saved the lives of the boys. The king of Egypt called the midwives and said to them: “Why are you doing this and leaving the male sex alive?” And the midwives said to Pharaoh: “The Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women: for they give birth even before the midwives come to them.” And God did good to the midwives, and the people multiplied and became very strong.

Job reading (Job.1:1–12).
There was a certain man in the country of Ausitidia, whose name was Job: and he was a true man, blameless, righteous, godly, and abstained from all evil things. He had seven sons and three daughters. And he had his cattle, seven thousand sheep, three thousand cattle, five hundred oxen, and five hundred herd asses, and many herd servants, and he had great deeds in the land: and he This man is the noblest of those who exist from the east of the sun. His sons came together and made a feast every day, and their three sisters ate and drank with them. And when the days of the feast were ended, he sent Job and purified them, rising in the morning: and he offered sacrifices for them according to the number of them, and one calf for the sin of their souls. Job said: “When did my sons sin and in their thoughts think evil against God? This is what Job does all his days. And this day came to pass, and behold the angels of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and the devil came with them. And the Lord said to the devil: where did you come from?
And the devil answered the Lord and said: Having walked around the earth and passed through the heavens, behold I am. And the Lord said to him: Have you given heed to your thoughts against my servant Job? There is nothing like him on earth: a man is blameless, true, godly, and has abstained from all evil things. The devil answered and said to the Lord: Does Job honor the Lord by eating tuna? Have you not fenced off the outside of it, and the inside of its house, and those outside of all those around it? You blessed his hand, and you created many of his livestock on the earth. But send Your hand and touch everyone who has not, but will bless You in person. Then the Lord said to the devil: Behold, everything that is great to him I have given into your hand, but without touching it. And the devil departed from the Lord.
