Troparion of prophecy, tone 6:

This is, O God, a terrible day, which we do not hope to reach even before evening: and this you have graciously granted us to see. Trisagion, glory to You!

Glory, and now: and we repeat the same.

Troparion of prophecy, tone 6: Now, O God, is a terrible day, which we did not hope to live to see, but through your love for mankind you have vouchsafed us to meet it. Glory to You, Tris Holy One!

Glory, even now: and we repeat the same troparion.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 104), tone 6: Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice.

Verse: Confess to the Lord, and call on His name, proclaim His works among the nations

Prokeimenon (Psalm 104), tone 6: Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Verse: Confess the Lord and call on His name! Proclaim to all nations about His accomplishments!

Reading the prophecies of Isaiah. [Isa.48:17–22, 49:1–4]

Thus says the Lord, who delivered thee, the holy One of Israel: I am the Lord thy God, I have taught thee to find the way, that thou shalt not walk in. And if you had listened to My commandments, you would have been like your river of peace, and your righteousness like a wave of the sea. And thy seed shall be as sand, and the offspring of thy womb shall be as the dust of the earth: if thy name be consumed this day, thy name shall perish before Me. Come from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans: proclaim the voice of joy, and let it be heard, even to the last of the earth: say, the Lord deliver his servant Jacob. And if they thirst, He will lead them through the desert, and He will bring water out of the rock for them; the rock will split open, and the water will flow out, and My people will drink. There is no joy in the wicked, says the Lord. Listen to Me, islands, and listen to the nations, for a time many will stand, says the Lord: From the womb I called My mother My name.

And put my mouth like a sharp sword, and hide me under the shelter of your hands: put me like a chosen arrow, and hide me in your body. And I said: You are my servant to Israel, and in you I will be glorified. And I said: I have labored in vain, in vain and for nothing have I given my strength: for this cause my judgment is before the Lord, and my labor is before my God.

Reading the prophecy of Isaiah [48:17–22; 49:1–4]

Thus says the Lord, who delivered you, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God; I taught you so that you would find my path that you should follow. And if you had obeyed My commandments, then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like a wave of the sea. And your seed would be like sand, and the offspring of your womb would be like the dust of the earth; and now you will not be destroyed, and your name will not perish before Me. Come out of Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, proclaim with a cry of joy so that it can be heard, proclaim to the ends of the earth, say: “The Lord has delivered His servant Jacob.” And if they thirst, when He leads them through the wilderness, He will also bring water out of the rock for them: the rock will split, and the water will flow out, and My people will drink. There is no joy for the wicked,” says the Lord. “Listen to Me, O islands, and give ear, O nations: a long time will pass,” says the Lord; From the womb He called Me and from My mother's womb He called My name. And He made My mouth like a sharp sword, and hid Me under the shelter of His hand, He made Me like the best arrow, and He hid Me in His quiver.

And he said to Me: “You are My servant, O Israel, and in you I will be glorified.” And I said: “I have labored in vain, in vain have I used My strength for nothing. Therefore My judgment is with the Lord, and My work is before My God.”

Prokeimenon (Psalm 105), tone 6: Blessed is the Lord God of Israel / from everlasting to everlasting.

Verse: Confess to the Lord that He is Good, for His mercy endures forever.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 105), tone 6: Blessed is the Lord God of Israel from everlasting and everlasting!

Verse: Praise the Lord, for He is Gracious, for His mercy is eternal!
