(May 8, September 30)
To You, Most Holy Lady Theotokos, we resort to Your unworthy servants: For You, Most Gracious, are the only gentle and powerful One to Your Son, Christ our God, for us sinners, Intercessor and Unshameful Representative. Weigh how much we bitterly regretted His goodness at the transgression of His Divine commandments. For we have not created sin, which we do not need, have not created, having rejected all fear, for this reason, for the sake of the Spirit of grace and the gift of natural sonship, we reject and are worthy of all aversion and execution. let us be created. Weigh, O Most Blessed Intercessor, that we have committed our actions unworthy of Your mercy and gifts. Because You, Lady Theotokos, at the request of Your Son and our God labored, promising You, Most Pure One, correction from the evil ones, only Your swearing to Him for us, sinners, representation and intercession is for nothing, imputation, ungratefulness and maliciousness.
Now you bear shame and are worthy below to look at Your most pure image, before it appears. But, oh the light of our souls, the bright mirror of God’s goodness! And we know, since Your boldness can be more motherly to Christ our God, we know, like no one else, resorting to You, O Compassionate One, with repentance and tenderness, You were put to shame, or calling to You, Most Pure One, was not heard from You; for Your Son, the Bride of God, honors You as His Mother, mercifully accepting Your prayers.
For this reason, we are horrified to look up to the Light of Your terrible and God-like glory, the eyes of our souls are defiled, both the tribes of our souls and bodies, we bow down to You, God-blessed Mary, as our Mother and Queen: have mercy on us, Thy unneeded servants, and, by the weight of fate, seek the lost, enlighten our minds with Thy light The knowledge of God, yes, illumine the essence of it, we will cut off every evil thought and every shameless act to the end, but let us love the commandments of the Lord with all our hearts and begin to walk in them blamelessly. Stop the heretical rebellion, gather the scattered, return those who have gone astray into the one flock of Your Son, Christ our God, support old age, bring understanding to the young, protect widows and orphans, Heal the sick, protect our country with peace and keep it unshakable forever, and grant us all success in faith and good deeds throughout the length of days.
Before our departed fathers and brothers rest in the blessed heavens and villages of the righteous, with them receive and join us all in repentance and confession, and we too, our Most Blessed One Intercessor, Mother of God and Lady, save beings through Your intercession, praising You, let us glorify with all the saints the most honorable and most holy name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, the One in To the Trinity glorified God, now, and ever, and unto ages. Amen.
