To Thee, O Most Pure Mother of God, with deep compunction I fall down before Thee in prayer: Remember me, O Queen, for I have sinned exceedingly and provoked Thy wrath and the wrath of my God many times over; yet I confess again and tremble. Will not the Lord smite me, and again weigh upon me at His appointed time? Knowing this, O My Lady Theotokos, hear my prayer, that Thou mayest forgive me, strengthen me, and grant good works to be done for me. For indeed, O My Lady Theotokos, I have in hatred the deeds of my own soul, yet with all my heart I love the Law of Thy God: but I do not know, O Most Pure Mother, from whence I hate, that I may also love, and thus commit sin. Do not allow, O Most Pure Mother, my will to accomplish this, for it is not meet; but let Thy will and the will of my God be done: that Thou mayest save me, enlighten me, and grant good gifts to Thy servant, that henceforth I may cease from all evil deeds, and live henceforth in obedience to Thee, which is fitting all glory, honor, and power with Thine eternal Father and Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
