To Thee, O Most Pure Mother of God, I, Thy servant, with compunction of heart pray: Remember me, O King, because without ceasing I sin against Thee and against the God within me, and many times do I repent, finding myself in a false peace, trembling in my soul. Will it not be that Thou wilt smite me, and again at the appointed time oppress me with heaviness? Knowing this, O My Lady, Theotokos, I beseech Thee, have mercy on me, strengthen me, and grant to do good deeds. For, O My Lady, Theotokos, although in hatred of my own deeds I am, and by all my thoughts love the Law of Thy God: yet I know not, O Most Pure Mother, whence I hate, that I may also love, but I transgress what is good. Do not allow, O Most Pure Mother, my will to accomplish these things, for it is not meet; but let Thy will and the will of Thy God be done: that Thou mightest save me, enlighten me, and grant eternal blessings, so that I may cease from all evil deeds, and live henceforth in obedience to Thee, which is fitting for every glory, honor, and righteousness, with the unending Father, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
