To Thee, O Most Pure Mother of God, with great reverence I fall down and pray: Lord, King, because continually I sin against Thee and against Thy Son, and many times I confess and weep bitterly before Thee, trembling in fear: will it be that Thou wilt smite me, or again at the appointed time oppress me. Knowing this, O my Lady Theotokos, my Right Hand, I pray Thee, to have mercy on me, to strengthen me, and to grant good works. For indeed, O my Lady Theotokos, with all my heart I hate the deeds of sin, and with all my mind I love Thy Law: but I do not know, O Most Pure Mother, from whence I am hated, that I may also love, and thus commit sin. Do not allow, O Most Pure Mother, my will to be fulfilled in evil, for it is not meet; but let Thy will and the Son's be done: that Thou mightest save me, enlighten me, and grant good gifts, so that henceforth I may cease from all unclean deeds, and live henceforth in obedience to Thee, which is meet for all glory, honor, and power, with the Father and the Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages. Amen.
