To Thee, O most pure Mother of God, with deep compunction I fall down before Thee in prayer: Remember me, O King, because without cease I sin and grieve Thy holy Spirit, and many times I confess my sins, finding myself lying before God, trembling in confession. Will it not be that Thou wilt smite me, again to burden me? Knowing this, O my Lady Theotokos, I beseech Thee, have mercy on me, strengthen me, and grant good works to do. For, O my Lady Theotokos, although I hate the deeds of my own soul with all my heart, and love Thy Law of God above all things: yet I know not from what source I hate, but also love, and thus commit evil. Do not allow, O most pure, my will to accomplish these things, for it is not good; but may Thy will and the will of God be done: that Thou mightest save me, enlighten me, and grant eternal blessing to the old man within me, that I might cease from all unclean deeds, and live henceforth in obedience to Thy commandments, which are meet for all glory, honor, and power, with Thee, O Lord, now and forever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
