Ἐπεφάνης σήμερον τῇ οἰκουμένῃ, καὶ τὸ φῶς σου Κύριε, ἐσημειώθη ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς, ἐν ἐπιγνώσει ὑμνοῦντας σε· Ἦλθες ἐφάνης τὸ Φῶς τὸ ἀπρόσιτον.
Thou hast appeared this day to the universe,/ and Thy light, O Lord, has come upon us,/ in the minds of those who sing Thee:/ Thou hast come, and Thou hast appeared,// an unapproachable light.
Today You have appeared to the universe, and Your light, Lord, has appeared for us, who have come to know and sing of You: “You have come and shown Yourself, the unapproachable Light.”
