Our Father, who art on high, that Thy name may be hallowed, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven so on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Troparion of the Feast. Even though it is a weekday, the Troparion of the Resurrection of Christ.

O Lord, have mercy on us, O Lord: for all our sins we pray Thee with unwavering faith, as sinners offering this prayer to Thy Master: have mercy on us. Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. O Lord, have mercy on us, for in hope we cry to Thee: do not be angry with us nor remember our transgressions, but look upon us now as a merciful Father, and deliver us from our enemies: for Thou art God our King, and we Thy people, all our works by Thine hand, and unto Thee we call. And now and forever. Amen. Let the gates of prayer be opened to us, O Blessed Theotokos: trusting in Thee that we may not perish but be delivered by Thee from tribulations: for Thou art the salvation of the race of Christians. O Lord, have mercy. [Mn.] And let us bow down our knees, if thou wilt.

And now let us receive the stichera:

O man, let us beseech, the Body of the Lady, with Fear, that thou fall not away: for Fire is it. But first receive the Holy Blood into Communion, and then boldly partake of this sacred Chalice.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Before partaking of the fearful sacrifices, O Life-giving One who sanctifiest the body, thus pray we with fear and trembling.

Master, O Lord Jesus Christ, our Life and Source of immortality, Helper of all visible and invisible creatures, co-eternal with the Father, present in His uncreated Power, both beginningless and endless, for many days having come into this mortal body, being crucified, buried, and shedding Thy precious Blood to renew our fallen nature: Thou, O Immortal King, receive my sinful confession, incline Thine ear unto me, and hear my words: I have sinned, O Lord, in Thee and before Thee, and am not worthy to behold the height of Thy glory: I have provoked Thy goodness by transgressing Thy commandments and disobeying Thy will. But Thou, O merciful One, long-suffering and full of compassion, didst not deliver me over to destruction with my lawless deeds, but hast waited for my repentance. For Thou spakest, lover of mankind: "For the desire of death is not from Thee, nor hast Thou willed the destruction of Thy creation; but Thou wilt have all saved, in truth and righteousness." Therefore, though I am unworthy of earth and heaven, having lived a sinful life, enslaved by pleasure, defiling Thine image: yet as Thy created work, I do not despair of my salvation, relying on Thy boundless mercy. Receive me, O lover of mankind, as a sinner, as a robber, as a tax-gatherer, and as a sinner, bearing my heavy burden of sins, the sin of this world, and the healing of human weakness, striving and burdened, calling upon Thee to rest: not coming to call the righteous, but sinners for repentance. And cleanse me from all uncleanness of body and spirit, teaching me to fulfill Thy commandments in suffering: that with a pure conscience I may receive part of Thy Body, being united with Thy Body and Blood, and have Thee living and abiding in me, with the Father and Spirit as my home. Thou, O Lord Jesus Christ, be mine, and let not my soul and body partake of the precious and life-giving mysteries unworthily: but grant that even to the end of my life I may receive a portion of Thy Body, in common fellowship, for the gift of eternal life, and in the blessed light at Thy fearful judgment: for with all those whom Thou hast chosen, I shall be among the uncorrupted, which Thou didst prepare for them that love Thee. Amen.

O Lord my God, I know, indeed, that I am not worthy and insufficient to enter into the sanctuary of my soul today, for it is wholly empty and desolate; and there is no place in me worthy enough for Thee to bow Thine head: but as Thou didst humble Thyself from on high for our sakes, so also now humiliate Thyself with my humility. And as Thou didst receive into the manger and hear the voiceless cries of the beasts: thus also receive into the voiceless cries of my soul, and into my defiled body. And as Thou wast not worthy to enter in, but wast crucified with sinners in Simon the leper's house: so also Thou hast willed to enter into the house of my humbled soul, which is leprous and sinful. And as Thou didst not anoint a like sinner and sinful woman who came and touched Thee: thus also Thou dost forgive me, O sinners, coming and touching Thee. And as Thou didst not cleanse the foul and unclean mouths of those who healed Thee: so also I cleanse my foul and unclean lips and tongue, and all the filthiness of my speech. But let me be a coal from Thy holy body, and the purity of Thy blood in cleansing, enlightenment, health of my humbled soul and body, in alleviation of many of my sins, in keeping from every devilish work, in quenching and forbidding my evil and deceitful habits, in mortification of passions, in supplying Thy commandments, in applying Thy divine grace, and the possession of Thy kingdom. For Thou dost not despise the coming to Thee of Thy people, but daring on Thy ineffable goodness: and let me not be far from Thy communion, as a thoughtless wolf is driven away. Therefore I pray Thee: O One God, keep my soul and body, heart, bowels, and all things in Me, renewing My fear in Thy hands, making Thine purification unshakable within me: and be Thou my helper and intercessor, feeding me with the life of my soul, worthy to stand before Thee with Thy saints: through Thy holy prayers and those of Thy undefiled servants, and all Thy saints, from age to age. Amen.
