We sing thy holy power, Saviour, and glorify thy resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Victor over death, Slayer of it by Thy Passion, Raiser of the dead, O Our Life, that Thou dost make our life to cease with Thee, for Thou alone art All-powerful.
Foolish Adam, and though thou hast raised man, by thy resurrection, vouchsafe to us a pure heart, that we may sing thee and glorify thee.
When Thou wast pierced on the crooked cross, then didst Thou die the death of Thy foes: the creation trembled with fear at Thy sight; and hell was taken captive by Thy power: Thou didst raise the dead from their graves, and didst cast down into hell the robber: O Theotokos, glory be to Thee.
Weeping with great longing at the tomb of Thee, O Lord, having come to the most holy women, found the tomb open, and having been led by angels to a new and glorious wonder, they proclaimed to the apostles: "For Thou hast risen, O Lord, granting peace to the world with Thy mighty hand."
Stray thy holy names, O Lord our God, and even as in the flesh Thou didst work miracles by Thy Lady, unto the end of the ages be Thou revealed in Thy Gospel: for while sleeping in darkness, the sun of righteousness hath enlightened us, teaching us at evening by its light: glory to thee.
Let it be known to the Jews who are born of their fathers, where they are, even those who came unto Pilate: that they may say to the keepers of the soldiers: Where is the sealed tomb; where was the body laid down; where was the dead man laid out; how was the hidden treasure stolen; what deceitfully you will accuse the risen uprising of lawless Jews; He has risen from the dead, and gives great mercy.
