We sing thy holy power, Saviour, and glorify thy resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Victor over death, Slayer of it by Thy Passion, Raiser of the dead, O Our Life, that Thou dost make our life to abide with Thee, for Thou alone art All-powerful.
Odeprisoner of Hades, and Raiser of man, by Thy Resurrection, deign to make our hearts pure that we may sing Thee and glorify Thee.
Blessed be Thy humble descent, glorifying Thee, O Virgin Mother. Thou wast born of two, and wast not separated from the Son; Thou sufferedst as a man, and by Thy will enduredst the spear, arosest from the grave, having come forth from the jaws of death that Thou mightest save the world, whereunto be glory to Thee.
When Thou wast pierced on the cursed wood of the cross, then didst Thou die the death of Thy enemies: the creation trembled with fear at Thy sight; and hell was taken captive by Thy power: Thou didst raise the dead from their graves, and didst cast down into paradise the robber: O Theotokos, preserve our glory in Thee.
Weeping with great longing at the tomb of Thee, O Lord, having come to the most holy women, found the tomb open, and having been shown by angels a new and glorious wonder, they proclaimed to the apostles: "For Thou hast risen, O Lord, granting peace to the world with Thy mighty power."
Stray thy holy names, O Lord our God, and whereunto in the power of thine own self-manifestation we bow down to thee Jesus Christ, who in the flesh didst work miracles by thyself: for while sleeping in darkness, the sun of righteousness enlighteneth us at evening with his beams: wherefore glory be to thee.
Beloved, even though the Jewish mind was envious and said to him who came to Pilate: "Where is he that watcheth?"—that is, the soldiers; "where was the seal of the sepulchre broken;" "where was the dead one laid aside;" "how was the unsold one sold;" as though stolen treasure had been taken away; what deceit ye will accuse the saved uprising of the lawless Jews; He rose from the dead and set free those in the world with great mercy.
