We sing thy holy power, Saviour, and glorify thy resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Preserver, and Slayer of death, Raiser of the dead, O Ever-Victorious; quench Thou our life in Thee, for Thou alone artmighty.
Odeyevny Adah, and Voskresenny man, by Thy Resurrection, vouchsafe to us a pure heart to sing Thee and glorify Thee.
Blessed be Thy merciful descent, O Theotokos, we hymn Thee. Thou wast born of two natures, and wast not separated from the Word; Thou sufferedst as a man, and by Thy will enduredst the cup, arosest from the grave, having come forth from the jaws of death that Thou mightest save the world, whereunto be glory to Thee.
When Thou wast crucified upon the accursed wood, then didst Thou die the death of Thy enemies: the creation trembled with fear at Thy sight; and hell was taken captive by Thy power: Thou didst raise the dead from the grave, and didst cast down into hell the robber: O Theotokos, glorify Him.
Weeping with great longing over thy grave, the holy women having come to it found it open, and having been led by angels to a new and glorious wonder, they proclaimed it to the apostles: "For He is risen, giving the world great joy."
With thy merciful name we bow down to thee, O Lord, and as thou didst work wonders in the wilderness by thy divine power, so hast thou brought forth the glad tidings of God unto the end of the ages: for while sleeping in darkness, the sun of righteousness hath enlightened us, teaching us at evening with its beams: glory be to thee.
Venerable ye also, O Jews, who have been instilled in the Hebrew tongue, where are they that came unto Pilate: that the keepers of the soldiers might say: Where is the sealed tomb; where was the dead laid down; where was he sold that was not to be sold; how was the treasure stolen away; what ye will accuse the innocent rising of the lawless Jews; He rose from the dead, and gives liberty to the world, and pours out great mercy.
