We sing thy holy power, O Saviour, and glorify thy resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Preserver, and Slayer of death, Raiser of the dead, O Maker of life, Hallow our life on high through Thee, for Thou alone art mighty.
Odeprisoner of Hades, and Raiser of man, by Thy Resurrection, deign to make our hearts pure that we may sing Thee and glorify Thee.
Blessed be Thy merciful descent, O Theotokos, we hymn Thee. Born of two natures, Thou wast not separated from the Spirit, suffering as a man, and by Thy will endured the cup, rising from the grave, having come forth from the jaws of death that Thou mightest save the world, whereunto be glory to Thee.
When Thou wast pierced on the cursed wood of the cross, then didst Thou die the death of Thy enemies: the creation trembled with fear at Thy sight; and hell was taken captive by Thy power: from the grave Thou didst raise the dead, and didst cast down into hell the robber: O Theotokos, glory be to Thee.
Weeping with great longing at the tomb of Thee, O Lord, having come to the most holy women, found the tomb open, and having been shown by an angel a new and glorious wonder, they announced it to the apostles: "For Thou hast risen, O Lord, granting peace to the world with Thy mighty power."
Thou, O Lord, we bow before Thee with Thy holy names, praising Jesus Christ, and as in the morning by Thy Lady's righteous deeds, at the end of the ages Thou didst manifest Thy divine glory: for while sleeping in darkness, the sun of righteousness did enlighten us, guiding us to evening by its light: whereunto be glory to Thee.
Venerable ye also, O Jews, who have been instilled in the Hebrew tongue, where are they that came unto Pilate: that the keepers of the soldiers might say: Where is the sealed sepulchre; where was the body laid down; where was the dead sold for the living; how was the hidden treasure stolen; what ye will accuse the innocent rising of the lawless Jews; He rose from the dead, and gives great mercy to all.
