Irimos:
By life alone we are saved,
And by death destroyed;
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death came into being through our transgression.
Through the intercessions of Thy holy ones,
Have mercy on us, O Lord.

Image of the pure joy of Thy glory, O unquenchable flame: and now let us beg to quench the fierce calamities upon us, that we may ever magnify Thee, O Theotokos.
As, O people without law and without subjection, plotting together with a wicked heart, they justly judged the proud and unrighteous: but the Lord, who is worthy of glory, judged Him on the ancient wood, whom we rightly glorify!
Hallowed be the innocent lamb, which hath taken upon itself the sin of peace, Thee we glorify, having risen on the third day with Thy Holy and Glorious Body, and the Spirit: Whom singing we magnify.
The Theotokos:
Spasí thee, O Lord, and give us peace through thy precious blood, for which thou didst suffer, to thy churches, O Lover of mankind, by thy prayers.
Candlemas
And́ now the Strange Mystery:
With an unspeakable power, Thy might, O Lord, Thou didst bless Thee, O Thou Who art weak, more than the strength of all hath been manifested: by Whose strength the mighty were cast down to the earth, and the poor are raised up unto the Theotokos.
Let death, our vile death, be slain by the resurrection of the dead: for thou, O Lord, having dwelt in the realm of the living dead, didst give life freely. Therefore we praise thee as the giver of life and resurrection, and the Light of the incorporeal nature.
Eternal nature and unbounded, in three it knows the unity of God's principal essences, in the Holy Spirit, in the Son, and in the Father: upon which by the wisdom of God mankind hopefully, are saved.
Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos
And Irmos: Example of Purity:
From the root of two roots sprang forth a prophecy of two, and God's oracle: but thou, O Soul, truly didst glorify it, having brought forth by thy conception the Incarnate One of glory: Him we worthily magnify.
Every praiseworthy, blameless commandment is overcome by the greatness of thy glory. But O Lady, receiving from thy unworthy servants the offering of love for thee with heartfelt praise, receive it with joy.
More precious than thy wonders! For thou art alone more than the sun, granting to all a new understanding of thy greatest wonder, O All-holy, whose womb no one can fathom. Wherefore we glorify thee, all ye.
