We sing thy holy power, Saviour, and glorify thy resurrection.
Blessed art Thou, O Preserver, and Death-Conquering,
And Raiser of the Dead,
Who make our life void before Thee,
For Thou alone art All-powerful.
Blessed be Thy merciful descent, O Theotokos, we hymn Thee. Thou wast born of two, and wast not separated from the Spirit; Thou sufferedst as a man, and by Thy will enduredst the cup; Thou arosest from the grave, O Thou who hast come forth from the grave to save the world, whereunto be glory unto Thee.
When Thou wast pierced on the cursed wood of the cross, then didst Thou die the death of Thy enemies: the creation trembled with fear at Thy sight; and hell was taken captive by Thy power: Thou hast raised the dead from their graves, and didst cast down into paradise the robber: O Theotokos, preserve our glory in Thee.
Weeping with great longing at the tomb of Thee, having come to the most holy women, found the tomb open, and having been shown by angels a new and glorious wonder, they announced it to the apostles: "For Thou hast risen, O Lord, granting peace to the world with Thy mighty hand."
Stray thy holy names, O Lord, and bow down to Thee, Jesus Christ, even as in the evening with Thy right hand Thou didst work salvation: for while we slept in darkness, Thou hast enlightened the sun of righteousness, guiding us by the evening light: wherefore glory be to Thee.
Lovingly also the Jewish one instilled in thee, where they are, even which came to Pilate: that the keepers of the soldiers might speak: Where is the sealed tomb; where was the buried laid down; where was the unsold sold; how was the hidden treasure stolen; what ye will accuse the saved uprising of the lawless Jews; arose and gave freedom in the dead, and bestowed great mercy on the world.
