I cried out the stichera to the Lord.

By your cross, Christ the Savior, the power of death was destroyed, and the deception of the devil was abolished: but the human race, saved by faith, always brings song to you. By your cross, Christ the Savior, the power of death is destroyed and the cunning of the devil is destroyed; The human race, saved by faith, always brings You a song.

Theotokos.

Why don’t we marvel at Your godly Christmas, Most Honest One? Because you did not accept the temptations of man, O All-Immaculate One, you gave birth without a father to a Son in the flesh, born before the ages from the Father without a mother, who underwent no change, or confusion, or separation, but retained the properties of both beings intact. Likewise, Mother of the Virgin Lady, pray to Him for the salvation of the souls who confess Thee to the Orthodox Mother of God. How can we not be surprised at Your godly Christmas, Most Honorable One? For, without knowing a husband, Most Immaculate, You without a father gave birth to a Son in the flesh, born before all ages from the Father without a mother, who did not suffer any change, or confusion, or division, but preserved intact the properties of both natures (Divine and human). Therefore, Virgin and Lady Mother, pray to Him for the salvation of the souls of those who Orthodoxy confess You, Mother of God.

Stichera on verse.

By Thy Passion, O Christ, who darkened the sun, and who enlightened all things with the light of Thy Resurrection, accept our evening song, O Lover of Mankind.

Troparion.

Let them rejoice in heaven, let them rejoice on earth, for the Lord has created a power with His arm: trampled down death by death, the firstborn of the dead, delivered us from the belly of hell, and bestowed great mercy on the world. Let the heavenly (creatures) rejoice and the earthly rejoice, for the Lord showed the strength of His power: He trampled death underfoot, appeared as the firstborn from the dead, freed us from the belly of hell and bestowed great mercy on the world.

Prokeimenon.

Cry among the nations, for the Lord reigns: for fix the world, which cannot move (Ps. 95:10).

Irmosy.

1. The waters of old, by the divine mania, gathered together into one host, and divided the sea by the people of Israel, This our God is glorified: He alone will be glorified, for he is glorified.

3. All things brought from those who do not exist, created by the Word, accomplished by the Spirit, O Almighty Almighty, confirm me in Thy love.

4. Thou hast laid down steadfast love for us, O Lord: for Thou hast given Thy only begotten Son to die for us. In the same way we call upon Thee with thanksgiving: glory to Thy power, O Lord.

5. I will pray to You, the Creator of all, who possesses all the wisdom of the World, bring the light of Your commandments, instruct me in them.

6. The last abyss of sins has passed me by, and my spirit disappears: but stretch, O Lord, Thy lofty arm, like Peter, save me, the Ruler.

7. Just as the pious three youths of old, you sprinkled Chaldeism in the flame, illuminated us with the bright fire of the Divines, blessed are you who cry, O God of our father.

8. The unbearable fire united with the godliness of the upcoming young man, but with the unharmed flame, I sang the Divine song: bless all the works of the Lord, the Lord, and exalt to all ages.

9. A new miracle and a magnificent one: the Lord passed through the closed maiden door, naked at the entrance, and the flesh-bearer appeared at the exit, God, and the door remained shut. We magnify this indescribably like the Mother of God.

Having once united the waters into one assembly by a Divine wave, and divided the sea for the people of Israel, This is our glorified God; Let us sing to Him alone, because He is glorified.

The Highest Almighty, who called (to life) from non-existence everything created by the Word and accomplished by the Spirit! Confirm me in Your love.

You showed strong love for us, Lord, for you gave up your only begotten Son to death for us. Therefore, we appeal to You in a feeling of gratitude: glory to Your power, Lord.

I turn with morning prayer to You, the Creator of everything, the Peace that surpasses all understanding: since Your commandments are light, teach them to me.

A deep abyss of sins has surrounded me, and my spirit is disappearing; but, O Lord, stretch out Your high hand, save me, O Leader, like Peter.

As You once sprinkled three pious youths in the Chaldean flame, illuminate with the bright fire the Divinity and us, who cry: Blessed are You, God of our fathers.

The young men, representatives of God, being in an unbearable fire, but without suffering harm from the flame, sang the Divine song: all the creations of the Lord, bless the Lord and exalt them to all ages.

A new and divine (God-worthy) miracle: the Lord God undoubtedly passes through the closed door of the Virgin; the naked one at the entrance is the one bearing flesh at the exit, and the door remains shut. We indescribably magnify her as the Mother of God.

At the liturgy the prokeimenon.

Sing to our God, sing: sing to our King, sing (Ps. 47:7).
