On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers
By Thy holy Spirit, O Saviour, death's dominion is broken, and the devil's delusion is abolished: man's race is saved by faith; thy hymn is ever offered to Thee.
Thou art enlightened by Thy Resurrection, O Lord, and the heavens are thrown open again: all Thy creatures praising Thee, make always to Thee a hymn of praise.
Glory be to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, the Uncreated Power, the Eternal Dominion, the Undivided Glory, the One in Essence, reigning for ever and ever.
We bow in honor of Thy holy Body, O Christ, and we sing Thy resurrection and glorify it: for by Thy early coming Thou hast healed us all.
We sing to Thee, O Saviour, from the twofold Incarnation: for our sake Thou wast crucified, and on the third day didst rise again, granting unto us great mercy.
Thou that didst descend into hell in very truth: Be of good courage, O herald, for now have I overcome, I am the Resurrection and the Life, I have raised thee up, having burst asunder the gates of death.
Worthy not being we who stand in thy most holy house, we send forth the evening hymn, calling from depths, O Lord: Through thy three-day enlightenment, thou hast enlightened the world, O Lover of mankind, and changed men from the hands of thy enemies.
O Theotokos,
How marvellous is Thy divine conception, O Lord; for Thou didst not receive the blameless temptation of a manly trial, but by Thy virgin womb didst bring forth before the ages without a father, a body formed from Him who was born of a father without a mother, neither having undergone change nor mixture nor division, but preserving in itself its own nature entire. Therefore, O Lady, preserve our souls righteously confessing Thee.
