On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers
By Thy mercy, O Jesus Christ, Thou hast saved us from the power of death, and the devil's delusion hath been abolished: man's race is saved by faith; thy hymn is ever brought to Thee.
Thou hast enlightened all created things by Thy Resurrection, O Lord; and the paradise hath been restored again: and every creature doth praise Thee, and singeth a hymn to Thee evermore.
Glory be to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, the Uncreated Power, the Undivided, Uncreated Divinity, the One Willing, Reigning for ever and ever.
Glory to Thy holy Name, O Christ, and we hymn Thy Resurrection: for by Thy early healing grace we are all made whole.
We sing to Thee, O Saviour, from the double wonder of Thy Incarnation: for our sake Thou wast crucified, and on the third day didst rise again, granting unto us great mercy.
With the Word of God having gone down into hell, O Theotokos: Be of good cheer, saying, "Now I have prevailed, I am the Resurrection, I have raised up, having shattered the gates of death."
Worthy not being we who stand in thy most holy house, in the evening we send forth this hymn, crying with depths of heart to Thee: Thou Who hast enlightened the world by thy three-day resurrection, have mercy on men, O Lover of mankind.
The Theotokos:
How we marvel at Thy divine conception, O Virgin; most wonderful; for Thou, having not received the blameless temptation of a man, didst bring forth without a husband a pure body before the ages from a husband born without a mother. Neither suffering change, nor mixture, nor division, but preserving its own nature whole. Therefore, O Lady, save our souls through Thy Orthodox intercession.
