On the Sabbath at the Great Vespers
By Thy mercy, O Christ, the power of death is destroyed, and the devil's delusion is abolished: man's race is saved by faith; thy hymn is ever brought to Thee.
Thou hast enlightened all creation by Thy Resurrection, O Lord; and again the paradise hath been restored: all thy creatures praising thee, make thy praise everflowing.
Glory be to Thee, O Lord, and to Thy Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, the Uncreated Power, the Undivided, Uncreated Divinity, the One in Essence, reigning for ever and ever.
We bow in honor of Thy holy Body, O Christ, and we sing Thy resurrection and glorify it: for by Thy early coming Thou hast healed us all.
We sing to Thee, O Saviour, from the double wonder of Thy Incarnation: for our sake Thou wast crucified, and on the third day didst rise again, granting unto us great mercy.
By His very essence descended into hell, Jesus Christ the Good Tidings: Rejoice, proclaiming now, for I have conquered, I am the Resurrection, I have raised thee up, having shattered the gates of death.
Worthy not being we who stand in thy most holy house, even this evening canticle do we send up to thee, calling with depths of heart:
O Lighten thou the world by thy three-day resurrection, O Lover of mankind, and turn away men from the hands of thine enemies.
O Theotokos,
As we marvel at Thy divine Incarnation, O God, how surpassingly wondrous; for Thou, a manly soul not having received the all-virtuous temptation, didst bring forth without a father a pure body before the ages from a father born without a mother, neither enduring change nor mixture nor division, but preserving its own nature entire. Therefore, O Lady of virgins, pray to save our souls, those who confess Thee with a right faith.
