Blessed is the man who hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stood in the way of sinners,
Nor sat in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
That bringeth forth its fruit in its season;
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Therefore hath the Lord blessed him:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor standeth in the way of sinners,
Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
That bringeth forth its fruit in its season;
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

For thus saith the Lord:
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor standeth in the way of sinners,
Nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in His law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water,
That bringeth forth its fruit in its season;
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Amen.

Raising Thee from the grave with mighty power, and Hell saw a wonder, and was amazed; the dead arose: and those who saw Thy face rejoiced in Thee, and man rejoiced, and my world praises Thee evermore.

Hymn:

Thou art the Light enshrouded, Thou art the Resurrection of all, and the Life of men; Thou didst raise to life all, holding in Thy deathly power, smiting the gates of Hades with Thy Word: and the dead beheld a wonder of wonders, and every creature rejoiceth at Thy resurrection, O Lover of Mankind. Wherefore we all glorify Thee and sing Thy descent, and my soul doth praise Thee for Thy glorious Resurrection.
