O Lord, have mercy on us, O Lord: for all our sins we pray Thee with unworthiness; as sinners we offer unto Thee this prayer: have mercy on us.
Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. O Lord, have mercy on us, for in hope we cry to Thee: do not be angry with us nor remember our sins against us, but look upon us now as a merciful Father, and deliver us from our enemies: Thou art God our God, and we Thy people, all our works by Thine hand, and unto Thee we call. And now and forever.
Amen.
The doors of the Theotokos are opened to us, O blessed Theotokos: trusting in Thee that we may not perish but be delivered through Thee from tribulations: for Thou art the salvation of the race of Christians.
O Lord, have mercy. [v.]

O Lord, eternal and King of all creation, having deigned to grant me even in this hour to come to Thee, forgive me my sins which I have committed today, by deed, word, and thought: and cleanse, O Lord, my humble soul from every stain of body and spirit, and give me, O Lord, a peaceful sleep this night: that arising from my humbled bed, I may receive Thy blessing in the name of Thine holy Name throughout all the days of my life, and overcome those who war against me, both fleshly and spiritual: and deliver me, O Lord, from thoughts of vain things, defiling me, and by the lusts of the wicked.
For Thee is the glory, power, and praise, O Father, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

All-Controlling One, Word of God, most perfect Son, Jesus Christ, many times have I sought mercy from Thee, O Lord, but Thou dost ever rest in me. And, O Good Shepherd of Thy flocks, deliver me not into the hands of the accusers, and let me not be left to the desire of Satan, for indeed sevenfold within me is his fire. Thou art the Lord, God, Jesus Christ, lying prostrate before Thee, Holy Theotokos, sleeping in Thine unquenchable light, in Thy holy home, where Thou didst rest Thy divine Teacher. Give also to me, O unworthy servant of Thee, Thy peace upon my bed: enlighten my soul with the light of Thy wisdom, love Thee with a pure heart, and let my heart be moved by Thy words, and let my body be filled with Thine unpassionate strength: preserve my thoughts in Thy humility, and raise me up at the time to be like Thy glorious praise. For Thou art glorified with Thy Father without beginning, and with Thy holy home for ever. Amen.

O Lord, heavenly King, Comforter, O Spirit of Truth, Thou hast humbled Thyself, and hast pitied me, the sinful servant of Thine, and hast forgiven me my unworthiness, and hast blotted out all my transgressions, both those of youth and ignorance, and those of pride and deceit. Even though I have called upon Thee in my thoughts, and even though I have blasphemed Thee in my heart: even though I have injured a brother, and even though I have judged a sister, and even though I have grieved others: even though I have been angry for no reason, and even though I have lied, and even though I have worked the fields without purpose: even though I have despised the poor who came to me, and even though I have offended my brother, and even though I have judged a sister, and even though I have quarreled, and even though I have grown proud, and even though I have been moved by worldly temptations in prayer with my ungodly thoughts: even though I have had impure thoughts, and even though I have sinned against Thee, and even though I have laughed without cause: even though I have had evil thoughts, and even though I have seen goodness as foreign to me, and thereby was tempted by them: even though I have spoken unseemly words, and even though I have mocked the sin of my brother, for mine own sins are countless. Even though I have not prayed in vain, and even though I do not remember what else I have done evil: yet all these and more have I done. Forgive me, O Creator, Thou Lord of unworthiness, and leave me not, but forgive me, as Thou art good and lover of mankind: that I may lie down in peace, sleep and rest, the wayward, sinful and penitent one: and I will prostrate myself, and praise Thee, and glorify Thy most holy name, with the Father and the Only-begotten Son, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

What hast thou brought, or what wilt thou give, O great-gifted immortal King, most bountiful and loving of souls; for having been idle in thy desire, and doing nothing good, thou hast led me to the end of this day, turning and saving my soul. Be merciful to me, O sinful and naked one, and uncover all my works of righteousness: raise up my fallen soul, which was defiled by countless sins, and let all my thoughts in this life be openly seen. Forgive my sins, only sinless One, who didst sin on this day, whether known or unknown, by word, deed, thought, and all my feelings. Thou thyself coverest me from every opposing resistance with thine ineffable love and power. Cleanse, O Lord, the multitude of my sins. Willingly grant, O Lord, to deliver me from the net of the crafty one, and save my sinful soul, and enlighten me with the light of thy face: when thou comest in glory. And now let not my sleep be unseasonable, nor with thoughts; and keep the thought of thy servant blameless, and all the snares of the devil from me: and enlighten our understanding hearts, that we may not fall into death. Send us an angel of peace, guardian and instructor of soul and body, that he may deliver me from my enemies: when I arise with my spirit, let me bring thee thanksgiving prayers. O Lord, hear thy sinful and righteous servant, by will and conscience: give me to learn by thy words, and drive far away the evil spirits from me: and bless thou my standing, and praise and glorify the most holy Theotokos, who gave us a sinless intercession for the guilty, and receive this praying one for us: for we know that thy love follows us, and our prayers do not cease. By this intercession, and by this sign of thy great mercy, and all thy saints, keep my holy soul with thee: for thou art, and art glorified to the ages. Amen.
