O Lord, have mercy on us, O Lord: for all of us are unwise in the knowledge of Thy salvation, and we offer this prayer to Thee, O Master: have mercy on us.

Glory be to Thee, Father, and to Thy Son Jesus Christ, and to Thy Holy Spirit.
O Lord, have mercy on us; for upon Thee we have relied: do not be angry with us nor remember our sins against us, but look upon us now as a merciful Father, and deliver us from our enemies: for Thou art God our King, and we are Thy people, all our works by Thine hand, and in Thee we call.
And now and forever.

Amen.
The doors of the sanctuary open to us, O Blessed Theotokos: trusting in Thee that we may not perish, but be delivered from evil through Thee: for Thou art the salvation of the race of Christians.
O Lord, have mercy. [v.]

O Lord, eternal and King of all creation, having vouchsafed me even in this hour to come to Thee, forgive me my sins which I have committed today, by deed, word, and thought: and cleanse, O Lord, my humble soul from every stain of body and spirit, and give me, O Lord, a sound sleep this night: that rising from my humble bed with humility, I may receive Thy blessing in the name of Thine holy Name throughout all the days of my life, and overcome those who fight against me, both fleshly and spiritual foes: and deliver me, O Lord, from vain thoughts which defile me, and from evil desires. For Thou art, O Lord, my strength, and my power, and my glory, Father, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Mercy, O holy Antioch, to the Lord our Jesus Christ:

O All-Ruling One, Word of the Most High, most perfect in Thyself, O Jesus Christ, Thou Who hast been glorified with God the Father and the Holy Spirit, never have Thou abandoned me, Thy unworthy servant, but abide always within me. O Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of Thy flocks, do not deliver me to the deceit of heresy, nor leave me to the desire of Satan, for sevenfold is it in me.

Thou art invoked by the Lord God, O Holy Theotokos, sleeping Thou didst preserve me with an unquenchable light within Thy holy home, where Thou didst rest and left Thy teaching to me. Give me also, O unworthy servant of Thine, peace upon my bed: enlighten my soul with Thy light, love me with the love of Thy heart, receive my heart in Thy word, sanctify my body by Thy passionless strength: preserve my thoughts with Thy humility, and raise me up at the time to be like Thy glorious praise for ever. Amen.

Mercy God, to the throne of thy glory:

O Lord, heavenly King, Comforter, O Truth, Thou hast humbled Thyself, and hast pitied me, the sinful servant of Thine; and Thou hast forgiven me, unworthy as I am, and Thou hast blotted out all my sins, whether voluntary or involuntary, known or unknown, from my youth to this day. For even in my thoughts I have sinned: I have blasphemed Thee, I have reviled Thee; I have injured others with my anger; I have grieved; I have been angry for no cause; I have lied; I have worked on the Sabbath without necessity; I have despised the poor who came to me; I have saddened my brother; I have judged wrongly; I have quarreled, I have become proud, I have been angry; I have hindered those praying with me from their spiritual struggle against the world; I have had evil thoughts, I have committed fornication, I have stolen, I have laughed without cause; I have thought wickedly, I have seen goodness in others and envied it, thereby offending Thee; I have spoken unseemingly, I have mocked my brother’s sin, my own sins are countless: I have not prayed with diligence, I have done many other evil things which I cannot remember. For all these and greater still, O Good and Lover of Mankind, forgive me, Thy creature, unworthy as I am; and leave me not, but blot out my sins, for Thou art good. Let me lie down in peace, O sinner, sinful and wretched, and let me rest: I will prostrate myself, I will praise Thee, I will glorify the most holy Name of Thine, with Thy Father and Holy Spirit, now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Mercy, O God, of great and glorious memory:

What hast thou brought, or what wilt thou give, O great-gifted immortal King, most bountiful and lover of man, Lord; for having been idle in thy will, and doing nothing good, thou hast led me to the end of this day, turning and saving my soul. Be merciful to me, O sinful and naked one, in all thy works: raise up my fallen soul, defiled by countless sins, and let all my thoughts be openly visible in this life. Forgive my sins, only sinless One, which I have committed today, knowingly or unknowingly, by word, deed, thought, and all my feelings. Thou thyself coverest me from every opposing resistance with thine ineffable love and power. Cleanse, O Lord, the multitude of my sins. Willingly grant me deliverance from the net of the crafty one, save my sinful soul, and enlighten me with the light of thy face when thou comest in glory: and let not my sleep be unawares this night; and let not my thoughts be without reflection: and keep the servant of thine unsullied: and utterly destroy all the works of Satan from me. Enlighten our understanding hearts, that we may not fall into death. And send us thy peaceable angel, guardian and instructor of soul and body, that he may deliver me from my enemies: that rising with my spirit, I may bring thee thankful prayers. Hear, O Lord, thy sinful and righteous servant, by will and conscience: give me to learn by thy words, and let the evil spirits be driven far away from me by thy angels: and I shall bless thy holy Theotokos, and glorify and praise her most pure Mother, who gave us a sinless defense for us sinners. For we know that thy love follows us, and our prayers do not cease. By this defense, and by the sign of thy cross, and all thy saints, keep my holy soul with thee: for thou art, and art glorified to the ages. Amen.
