Victory hast Thou, O Christ, over hell,
Whereto Thou didst descend:
That in the darkness of death sitting,
Thou mightest raise us with Thee,
And free them that are in the realm of the dead,
Springing forth life from Thy own light,
All-powerful Saviour, have mercy on us.

To-day Jesus Christ hath overcome death, /
For He said: "I am the Resurrection," /
And the joy of all the world is given, /
That all who cry out may sing thus: /
Fount of life, inaccessible light, /
O mighty Saviour, have mercy on us.

Stichos: And from the depths I have cried unto Thee, O Lord, Thou who art heard.

Thee, O Lord, who livest in all thy creatures,
we, sinful stones, flee before Thee;
in Thy heavens Thou dost abide,
and in the depths of the seas death hath smitten Thee;
therein didst stretch forth Thy hand, Master.
To Thee we fly,
unto Thee we cast ourselves:
raise up and have mercy upon us who are dead.

And certain stichera of the Anthonyleptic tone, of the same tone.

Stichos: Let thy soul hear my prayers, O Voice that speaketh openly.

By Thy holy and life-giving Incarnation, we glorify Thee, and sing of Thy Resurrection: for Thou art God our King. How can we doubt Thee?

If thou beholdest the unrighteous, O Lord, who shall stand before Him? For Thy holy one is cleansed.

Blessing Thee always, O Lord, / we hymn Thy Resurrection: / for having endured, / Thou hast by death destroyed death.

Stichos: And in the Name of Thee, O Lord, I have borne Thee, and my soul hath endured in Thy Word; my soul hath hoped upon Thee, O Lord.

Glory to Thy power, O Lord, / For Thou hast made the mighty one deathless: / Thou hast renewed us by Thy Spirit, / granting us life and incorruption.

Stichos: By the watches of the evening until midnight, by the watches of the evening, let Israel pray to the Lord.

Buried art Thou, O Lord, by the abyssal tongues
That crushed and rent asunder:
Whence by Thy Resurrection from the dead,
The world was enlightened;
Thy glory, O Lord.

And other stichera of the Theotokos, composed by Paul of Amorrea, tone 4:

Stichos: As the Spirit doth pray, and much deliverance is from Him, and thus He delivereth Jesus Christ from all lawlessness.

Seeing my bodily weakness, and spiritual suffering, and heartache,
the Holy Theotokos, pure of sin, deigneth to visit me, beseeching Thee, O Lord,
with Thy warm prayers, save me, I pray.

Hail Thee, O Lord, all tongues, and praise Him, all peoples.

All hath I passed before Thee, O Lady, by my transgressions:
but cleanse Thou many of these, two by two,
that I may receive the riches of Thy mercies,
and be made worthy in the future judgment to stand before Thine own Self and God.

Stichos: As though strengthened to pray for us, and truth abideth in Him for ever.

My manifold sins, O Pure One, call upon me / cleanse my purity, / and the unceasing movement of my feelings, / by the sword of prayer: / that by faith and love I may / sing thy seedless wheat.

Glory to Thee, O God, and to Thy Christ, and to Thy Holy Spirit, both now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Theotokos, gladsome voice saith:
Who shall not bless thee, O Conception?
Or who shall not sing thy pure conception?
For from the Father thou didst receive the eternal Son,
And by thee the ineffable Incarnation took place,
The God-begotten Nature,
And having become man for our sake,
Not divided into two persons,
But united in nature, known to both.
Pray therefore, all-holy one,
That our souls may be saved.

The sobering creation of the patriarch and hieromartyr Sophronius.

O quiet bearer of the holy glory,
O immortal, O heavenly Father,
O most blessed Jesus Christ,
having come to the west of the sun,
seeing the evening light,
we sing Thee, God, Spirit, and King,
worthy at all times
to be sung by the holy lips,
as Giver of life:
therefore let the world glorify Thee.
