Stichos: Vede izvedi dušu moju iz temnitsy, iispovedatисya imeni tvomu.

Victory hast Thou, O Christ, over the abyss,
Whereto Thou didst ascend:
That in the darkness of death sitting,
Thou mightest raise with Thee,
Them that in the dead are free,
Springing forth life from Thy own light,
All-powerful Saviour, have mercy on us.

Today Jesus Christ hath overcome death, /
For He said, "I am the Resurrection," /
and joy for all the world is given freely, /
that all who cry out may sing thus: /
Fount of life, inaccessible light, /
O mighty Saviour, have mercy on us.

Stichos: And from the depths I have cried unto Thee, O Lord, Thou who art heard.

Thee, O Lord, that livest in all thy creatures,
we, sinful stones, flee before Thee;
in Thy holy heavens Thou dost abide,
and in the depths of the sea death hath smitten Thee;
therein didst stretch forth Thine almighty hand.

To Thee we fly,
unto Thee we cast ourselves:
raise up and have mercy on us, O Thou who raisest the dead.

And other stichera of the Anthonyleptic tone, of the same tone.

Stichos: Let thy soul hear my supplications with compunction of heart.

By Thy holy Incarnation, we glorify Thee, and sing Thy Resurrection and praise: for Thou art God our King. How shall we doubt Thee if not known?

Stichos: If thou beholdest the unrighteous, O Lord, who shall stand before Him? For Thy mercy, O Lord, is great.

Blessing Thee, O Lord, / we hymn Thy Resurrection: / for having endured, / Thou hast by death destroyed death.

Stichos: And in the name of Thee, O Lord, I have borne Thee, and my soul hath endured in Thy word, trusting my soul to the Lord.

Glory to Thy power, O Lord, / For Thou hast abolished the dominion of death: / Thou hast renewed us by Thy Spirit, / granting us life and immortality.

Stichos: While keeping watch at midnight, let us cry to Jesus Christ the Lord.

Buried thou art, O Lord, by the abyssal tongues crushed and rent asunder:
Even as by thy Resurrection from the dead thou hast enlightened the world,
O Lord, glory be to thee.

And other stichera of the Theotokos, composed by Paul of Amorrea, tone 4.

Stichos: As the Spirit doth pray, and much deliverance is from Him, and thus He doth deliver Jesus Christ from all lawlessness.

Seeing my bodily weakness, and spiritual suffering, and heartache,
God hath vouchsafed me entrance into His holy dwelling, pure and spotless,
O Saviour, I beseech Thee, with Thy fervent prayers, save me.

Stichos: Glorify the Lord all tongues, praise Him all peoples.

All hath I passed before Thee, O Lady, by my transgressions:
but cleanse Thou many of these, duo,
that I may receive the mercies, Thee beseeching,
in the future judgment to stand with Thy God.

Stichos: As though he had strengthened himself to pray for us, and truth abideth with him for ever.

My manifold sins, O Pure One, call out to thee /
with unceasing prayer, /
and the unceasing movements of my feelings, /
pray with the sword of my supplication: /
for by faith and love I sing /
thy seedless grain.

Glory to Thee, O God, and to Thy Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Theotokos, gladsome voice saith:
Who shall not bless thee, O Conception?
Or who will not sing of thy pure conception?
For from the bosom of the Father
Thou didst receive the single-begotten Son,
And thou didst conceive Him without uttering speech,
Becoming in nature God's own Son,
And becoming man for our sake,
Not divided into two persons,
But known to be united in nature.

Pray therefore, all-holy one,
That the souls of ours may be saved.

The Suffering of the Saint Sophronius, Patriarch of Jerusalem.

O silent light of the holy and heavenly glory,
O immortal, O Father's mercy,
O holy, blessed Jesus Christ,
having come to the west of the sun,
seeing the evening light,
we sing Thee, God, Spirit, and King,
Thou art worthy at all times
to be sung by the holy lips,
as the Life-giver:
therefore let the world glorify Thee.
