Stichos: Vede izvedi dušu moju iz temnicy, iispovedatiesya imeni tvomu.

Victory hast Thou, O Christ, over the adversary,
Whom on the cross Thou didst overcome:
That in the darkness of death sitting we might rise with Thee,
And from the dead receive freedom,
Springing forth life from Thy own light,
All-powerful Saviour, have mercy upon us.

Stichos: And they that wait upon Thee, shall see the things which Thou hast prepared for them that love Thee.

Today Jesus Christ hath overcome death, /
For He said, "I am the Resurrection," /
And the joy of all the world is given, /
That all who cry out may sing thus: /
Fount of life, inaccessible light, /
O mighty Saviour, have mercy on us.

Stichos: And from the depths I have cried to Thee, O Lord, O Lord, hearken to my voice.

Thee, O Lord, that livest in all thy creatures,
we, sinful stones, flee before Thee;
in Thy holy heavens Thou dost abide,
and in the depths of the seas death hath smitten Thee;
therein didst stretch forth Thy divine hand.

To Thee we flee,
falling down before Thee in prayer:
raise up and have mercy on us, O God, from among the dead.

And other stichera of the Anawtls, of the same tone.

Stichos: Let thy soul minister in the hearing of my prayer, O Lord.

By Thy holy Incarnation, we glorify Thee,
And sing Thy Resurrection and praise it:
For Thou art God our King.
How can we doubt Thee?

Stichos: If thou beholdest the unrighteous, O Lord, who shall stand before Him? For Thy mercy, O Soul, is great.

Blessing Thee, O Lord, / we sing the Resurrection of Thee: / for having endured, / Thou hast by death destroyed death.

Stichos: And in the Name of Thee, O Lord, I endured Thee, and my soul endured in Thy Word; my soul trusted in Thee.

Glory to Thy power, O Lord, / For Thou hast abolished the dominion of death: / Thou hast renewed us by Thy Spirit, / granting unto us life and incorruption.

Stichos: While keeping the watch of the evening until morning, let us invoke Jesus Christ upon the Lord.

Thou art laid to rest, O Lord,
by the tongues of the damned, crushed and rent asunder:
for even by Thy resurrection from the dead,
the world was enlightened;
O Lord, glory be to Thee.

And other stichera of the Theotokos, composed by Saint Paul of Amorey, tone 4:

Stichos: As the Spirit crieth with groanings which are not spoken, and much deliverance is to him that obeyeth, so shall he deliver Israel from all unrighteousness.

Seeing my bodily weakness, and spiritual suffering, and heartache,
God hath vouchsafed me entrance into His holy dwelling, pure and spotless.
With warm prayers do I beseech Thee, O Saviour,
Save me, I pray thee, by Thy fervent intercessions.

Hail Thee, O Lord, all tongues, and praise Him, all peoples.

All hath I passed before Thee, O Lady, by my transgressions:
but cleanse Thou many of these, two by two,
that I may receive Thy mercies, as I, Thy suppliant, beseech Thee,
in the future judgment, with Thy Holy and Life-creating Word.

Stichos: As though strengthened to pray for us, and truth abideth with Thee for ever.

My manifold sins, O Pure One, call upon thee,
And the unceasing movements of my feelings,
With prayerful sword, I beseech:
That by faith and love I may sing
Thy seedless wheat.

Glory to Thee, O God, and to Thy Christ, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

O Theotokos, gladsome voice saith:
Who shall not bless thee, O Conception?
Or who shall not sing thy holy conception?
For from the bosom of the Father
Thou didst receive the single-begotten Spirit,
That ineffably was incarnate,
Becoming in nature God's own Son,
And in nature becoming man for our sake,
Not divided into two persons,
But known to be united in two natures.
Pray therefore, all-holy one,
That our souls may receive mercy.

The sobering creation of the wise father, patriarch and hieromartyr.

O silent light of the holy and heavenly glory,
O eternal, O Father's mercy,
O holy and blessed Jesus Christ,
having come to the west of the sun,
seeing the evening light,
we sing Thee, O Lord, God, and Thy Holy One:

Thou art worthy at all times
to be sung by the holy ones,
as Giver of life:

Therefore let the world glorify Thee.
