Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the grave was opened and those weeping stood by,
the Resurrection cried out to them that had hidden themselves:
"Bring forth the vineyard-makers,
proclaim the word of resurrection:
rise, O Lord, giving the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weeps, beseeching the governor:
Where didst thou hide the eternal life;
Where laidst thou, upon the table of cherubim?
For keeping watch over this, they have fallen asleep through fear.
Give me, O Lord, even as with me, let us cry out:
Even though I was dead in the midst of the dead, having risen from the dead, glory be to thee.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thou art the strength of my heart, and my refuge, and my fortress, and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my helper, to whom I cry for help: The Defender, the horn of my salvation, and my protector. I call upon Thee from on high against my enemies, and Thou hast upheld me. Thou didst sustain me in my sickness, and healed me of my sins; Thou didst heal me of the diseases of hell, which had overtaken me. When I was troubled, I cried to Thee, and Thou heardst my voice from Thy holy temple; and my supplication came before Thee into Thine ears. The earth quaked, and the foundations of the mountains trembled at Thy presence, because Thou art angry with them. Smoke went up from Thy wrath, and fire was kindled from the face of Thy anger: the coals thereof blazed. Thou didst descend upon the cherubim, and flew upon the wings of the wind. Thou didst cover Thyself with a cloud; and the darkness hideth Thee, making the waters dark under the clouds. From the brightness before Thee passed the clouds, and the city and fiery angels. Thou didst thunder from heaven, and Thy voice came from high above. Thou didst send forth arrows that smote them down, and lightning multiplied and scattered them. Thou didst open fountains of water, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered by Thy commandment, O Lord, from the inspiration of Thine angry Spirit. From heaven Thou didst send a pleasant wind, and received me out of many waters. Thou didst preserve me from strong enemies and from those that hated me: for Thou art stronger than I. Thou didst precede me in the day of my affliction; and Thou wast made strength to me. Thou didst lead me into broad places: Thou didst preserve me, as Thou wouldest. And Thou shalt reward me according to my righteousness, and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thee. For I have kept Thy way and have not sinned against Thy law. For all my adversaries are in Thy sight, and they have not prevailed against me. And I shall be blameless with Thee, and shall be preserved from sin. And Thou shalt reward me according to my righteousness, and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thine eyes. With the venerable thou shalt be venerable, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent, and with the chosen thou shalt be chosen, and with the rebellious thou shalt make them drunk. For Thou hast delivered men of low degree from their affliction, and hast humbled the proud. For Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O Lord: my God, Thou hast enlightened darkness for me. For by Thee I am saved from temptation, and by Thy law I pass through the wall. My God, a blameless path is Thine: Thy words are kindled like a fire. A Defender of all that hope in Thee. For who is a God but God; and who is a rock but our God? Thou hast girded me with strength for battle, and hast laid down my unspotted path before me: as the morning, Thou hast taught my hands to war, and hast put a golden bow in mine hand: and Thou hast given me for protection salvation, and Thy right hand received me. And Thy chastisement shall correct me at the end, and Thy chastisement will instruct me. Thou didst spread out my steps under me, that I might not be disquieted. Thou didst smite mine enemies, and overtook them, so that they could not return until they were consumed: I made them to faint, and they could not stand before my feet. And Thou hast given strength for battle to me by Thy power, and hast laid low all that rose up against me under me. And Thou didst give me the back of mine enemies, and those that hated me Thou hast consumed. Thou didst not deliver them, and they heard not: they were confounded, and fell before my feet. And Thou didst subdue mine enemies by Thy power, and Thou didst smite all that rose up against me under me. And Thou didst give to me the back of mine enemies, and those that hated me Thou hast consumed. I live, and blessed be God; and let God exalt my salvation, God giving me recompense and making men bow down before me, O Saviour of my soul from the wrath of my enemies: from them that rose up against me Thou didst lift me up, and from the unjust man Thou didst preserve me. For this I will confess Thee in the tongues, O Lord, and praise Thy name for evermore.
