Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the grave was opened and the weeping ones stood by,
the Resurrection cried out to those hidden in the apostles:
"Bring forth the vineyard of the makers,
proclaim the word of the resurrection:
rise, O Lord, and give a great gift of mercy."

O Lord, before Thy grave where Magdalene wept sore, / and besought the governor thereof, she spake thus: / Where didst Thou hide the eternal life; / where didst Thou lay it, upon the table of cherubim? / For keeping this, through fear they waxed dead. / Give me therefore, O Lord, / and let us cry together: / Where thou wast dead in the dead, life to thee be glory.

Thou didst pour out Thy cup, O God, into the vessel of the Virgin.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thee is my strength and my fortress, my refuge and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my Helper, on whom I call: Thee my defender, the horn of my salvation, and my protector. I invoke Thee from the heights above; Thou hast delivered me from the hands of my enemies. Thou didst sustain me in my sicknesses, and healed me of my transgressions: the sicknesses of hell have afflicted me, they preceded me with their snares of death. And when I was troubled, I called upon Thee, and cried to God my Saviour: from His holy temple heard Thy voice, and my cry before Him entered into Thine ears. The earth trembled and its foundations were shaken; the mountains quaked and moved at Thy presence, for Thou art angry with them. A smoke went up from His anger, and fire came forth from His face to kindle a flame of burning: the coals of it blazed out. He sent down His clouds, and they covered Him: the moon was darkened before Him; the waters were black in their clouds. From the brightness of His presence the clouds passed away, the city and the flames of fire. He thundered from heaven, and His voice came forth from high above. He sent out His arrows and destroyed them, and multiplied the lightning and made them fall. He opened up fountains of water, and broke open the foundations of the earth from the banishment of Thy commandment, O Lord: from the inspiration of Thine anger. He sent down from heaven with pleasure, and received me from many waters. He delivered me from strong enemies and from those who hated me: for Thou art stronger than them. He led me in the day of my affliction; Thou didst become my strength. He brought me to broad places; Thou didst deliver me according as I desired. And Thou shalt reward me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thee: for I have kept Thy ways and have not been unrighteous from God my Saviour. For all my adversaries are in Thy sight, and they have not prevailed against me. And I shall be blameless with Thee, and keep myself from sin. And Thou shalt reward me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thine eyes. With the Venerable thou shalt be, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent; with the chosen thou shalt be chosen, and with the rebellious thou shalt be made drunk. For Thou hast delivered men humble in spirit from their oppressors, and hast humbled the proud. For Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O Lord: my God, Thou hast enlightened my darkness. For by Thee I am delivered from temptation, and through Thy God I pass over walls. My God, a blameless path is Thine: the words of Thy mouth are kindled. A defender of all who hope in Thee. For who is like Thee, O Lord; or who is like Thee, our God? Thou hast strengthened me with power, and laid down a blameless path for me: as an olive Thou hast set me up high: teaching my hands to fight, and Thou didst put a golden bow in mine arm: and Thou gavest me the protection of salvation, and Thy right hand received me: and Thy chastisement shall correct me at the end, and Thy chastisement shall teach me. Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and I was not faint-hearted. I overthrew my enemies, and they were taken, until they perish: I made them to weep, and they could not stand up, they fell under my feet. And Thou hast strengthened me with power for battle, Thou hast slept all who rose against me beneath me. And Thou gavest me the back of my enemies, and those who hated me Thou didst consume. Thou didst call, but there was no deliverance: to Thee I called, and Thou didst not hear them. They are as dust before the face of a wind, as chaff that passeth away by the way. Thou hast delivered me from the reproach of men: Thou hast set me at the head of peoples: people whom I knew not served me, in their ears they hearkened to my voice. Sons of strangers lied against me, sons of strangers swore and defiled their own paths. He is alive, O Lord, and blessed be God; let God lift up His salvation for me, God giving remission to me and making men under me, my deliverer from the wrathful enemies of mine: from those who rose against me Thou hast exalted me, from a just man Thou hast delivered me. For this I will confess Thee in the tongues, O Lord, and praise Thy name: magnifying salvation, the king’s, and making prayer to Christ Thine own twice seven and seed for ever.
