Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the grave was opened, and with weeping standing by,
Mary cried out to those hidden in the apostles:
"Bring forth the vineyard makers,
proclaim the word of resurrection:
rise, O Lord, giving the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weepeth, beseeching the governor thereof:
Where didst thou hide the eternal life;
Where laidst thou, upon the table of cherubim?
For keeping this, through fear they have fallen asleep.
Give me also, O Lord, to cry with thee:
Even as in the dead, so from the dead arise, glory be to thee.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thou art the strength of my heart, and my refuge, and my fortress, and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my Helper, to whom I cry for help: My defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my protector. I invoke Thee from on high against my enemies, that Thou mayest save me. Thy hands have upheld me in times of sickness and sorrow; Thou hast healed me from the wounds of sin; the pains of hell have encompassed me, foretelling the snares of death.
And when I was troubled, I cried to Thee and besought God my Saviour: From His holy temple heard Thy voice, and my cry came before Thee. The earth trembled and its foundations quaked, as Thou wert angry with them, O God. A smoke went up from the anger of Thine, and fire issued forth from Thy face; the flames blazed from Thee.
Thou didst descend in the heavens, and darkness covered Thy feet: the stars were darkened before Thee: the waters became thick as a cloud. From the brightness of Thy presence, clouds passed away, and the city and fiery angels. Thou didst thunder from heaven, and the high one gave forth His voice.
Thou didst send arrows to scatter them, and multiplied the lightning and smote them. Thou didst open fountains of living waters, and the foundations of the world were uncovered from Thy commandment; O Lord, from the inspiration of Thine angry Spirit. From heaven Thou didst descend with a pleasant sound, and received me from many waters.
Thou didst preserve me from strong and fierce enemies, and from those who hated me: for Thou art stronger than I. Thou didst precede me in the day of my affliction, and Thou art the strength of my heart. Thou didst lead me to freedom, as Thou wouldest have it; and Thou wilt judge me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands.
For I have walked in Thy ways, and have not been unrighteous from before Thee. For all the judgments of Thine are before me, and the righteousness of Thine has not departed from me. And I will be blameless with Thee, and keep myself from sin.
And Thou wilt judge me according to my righteousness, and according to the purity of my hands in Thy sight. With the Venerable, thou shalt be Venerable; with the innocent, thou shalt be Innocent; with the chosen, thou shalt be Chosen; with the rebellious, thou shalt be corrupted.
For Thou hast delivered me from the temptations of men and humbled the proud. For Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O Lord: my God, Thou hast enlightened my darkness. For by Thee I am saved from temptation, and by Thy Saviour I pass through the wall.
Thou art a blameless path before Thee; words of Thy mouth are kindled. A defender is He for all who hope in Him. Who is God but Thee? And who is God but our God? Thou hast strengthened me with power, and set forth my blameless path: as an olive tree, Thou hast raised me up high.
Thou hast taught my hands to fight, and Thou hast given me a bronze bow; Thou hast provided for me the protection of salvation, and Thy right hand received me. Thy chastisement will correct me at the end, and Thy chastisement will instruct me.
Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and I was not faint in my going. I overcame my enemies, and they were taken captive until they perish: I afflicted them, and they could not stand before my feet.
Thou didst strengthen me with power for battle, Thou didst slay all who rose up against me beneath me. Thou gavest me the back of my enemies, and those who hated me were consumed. They cried out to Thee, but Thou didst not save them; they called upon Thee, but Thou didst not hear them.
Thou didst deliver me from the quarrels of men: Thou hast set me at the head of tongues: strangers worked for me, and in the hearing of Thy mouth they obeyed me. Sons of strangers lied to me, sons of strangers swore and defiled their own paths.
Living, O Lord, blessed art Thou; may God be exalted in my salvation, and may He give rest to His people and subdue them under me, my deliverer from the wrathful enemies: from those who rose up against me, Thou hast lifted me up, and Thou hast delivered me from the unjust man.
For this I will confess Thee in my prayers, O Lord, and praise Thy name for ever.
