Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the tomb was opened and found weeping,
The Resurrection cried to those hidden by the veil:
"Bring forth the vineyard's fruit,
Preach the word of resurrection:
Rise, O Lord, giving the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weeps, beseeching the governor:
Where didst thou hide the eternal life;
Where laidst thou, upon the table with cherubim?
For keeping watch over this, they have fallen asleep through fear.
Give me also, O my Lord,
And let us cry together:
Even though I was dead in the midst of the dead, Thou hast raised me to glory.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thou art the strength of my heart, and my refuge, and my sanctuary, and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my Helper, and upon Him will I trust: He is my protector, and the horn of my salvation, and my defender. I call on Thee from the heights against my enemies, and Thou hast upheld me in my sicknesses, and healed me of my sins; the sicknesses of hell have visited me, and preceded me with their snares of death. And when sorrow befell me, I called upon Thee, and cried to Thy holy temple: Thy voice from within heard my cry, and my prayer came before Thee. The earth trembled and its foundations were shaken; the mountains quaked at Thy presence. A smoke of anger went up from Thee, and a fire issued forth from Thy face: sparks blazed from Thee. Thou didst descend with Thy heaven, and darkness covered Thy feet. Thou wentest upon the cherubim, and flewst on the wings of the wind. Thou didst spread out Thy covering over them; the sun rose in their midst: dark waters in the clouds above. From the brightness before Thee, the clouds passed away, the city and fiery fire. Thou didst thunder from heaven, and a voice came forth from Thee. Thou didst send arrows to drive away the wicked, and multiplied the lightning and smote them. Thou didst open fountains of living waters, and the foundations of the world were uncovered from Thy commandment, O Lord; from the inspiration of Thine angry Spirit. Thou didst send from heaven with joy, and received me from many waters. Thou didst save me from strong enemies and those who hated me: for Thou art stronger than I. Thou didst precede me in the day of my affliction, and Thou art my strength. Thou didst lead me to broad places: Thou didst save me according as I desired. And Thou shalt reward me with righteousness and with pure hands before Thy Father. For all my ways are before Thee, and Thy judgments have not failed from me. And I shall be blameless with Thee, and keep myself from sin. And Thou shalt reward me with righteousness and with pure hands before Thine eyes. With the Venerable thou shalt be, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent, and with the chosen thou shalt be chosen, and with the rebellious thou shalt be corrupted. For Thou hast delivered men of lowly spirit from their enemies; and Thou hast humbled proud ones. For Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O Lord: my God, Thou hast enlightened my darkness. For by Thee I am saved from temptation, and by My Saviour I pass through the wall. My God, a blameless path is Thine: Thy words are kindled like a fire. A defender of all who trust in Thee. For who is God but Thee; or who is God except our God? Thou hast strengthened me with power, and laid out before me a blameless path: as the morning, Thou hast set me on high; teaching my hands for battle, and Thou didst place a golden bow in mine arm: and Thou gavest me protection of salvation, and Thy right hand received me: and Thy chastisement shall correct me at the end, and Thy chastisement will instruct me. Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and I was not faint or weary. I have overcome my enemies, and they were taken, until they perish: I have afflicted them, and they could not stand before my feet. And Thou hast strengthened me with power for battle, and Thou hast smitten all who rose up against me beneath me. And Thou gavest to me the back of my enemies and those who hated me. Thou didst not deliver, and they heard not: to Thee I called, and they heard not. As dust before the face of a wind, as chaff swept away by the paths. Thou hast delivered me from the slander of men: Thou hast set me at the head of tongues: men whom I knew not worked for me, in the hearing of my ears they obeyed me. Sons of strangers lied to me, sons of strangers swore and defiled their own way. He is alive, O Lord, and blessed be God; let God exalt my salvation, God giving forgiveness to me and subjecting men under me, my deliverer from my enemies’ wrath: from those who rose up against me Thou didst lift me, from the unjust man Thou didst save me. For this I confess Thee in words, O Lord, and praise Thy name: praising the salvation of the King and making prayer to Christ His Son and the Holy Spirit for ever.
