Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the grave was opened and those weeping stood by,
the Resurrection cried out to them that had hidden themselves:
"Bring forth the vineyard of the makers,
proclaim the word of the resurrection:
rise, O Lord, giving the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weeps, crying to the governor of the palace:
Where didst thou hide the eternal life;
Where didst thou lay it, upon the table with cherubim?
For keeping watch over this, they have fallen asleep through fear.
Give me also whereunto I may cry with thee:
Even though I was dead in the midst of the dead, I arose with thee, glory to thee.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thou art the strength of my heart, and my refuge, and my fortress, and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my helper, on whom I rely: My defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my protector. I invoke Thee, O Lord, from the hands of my enemies. Thy mercies have sustained me in times of illness and affliction; Thou hast healed me from deadly diseases and chastened me for my sins. The ills of hell have afflicted me, leading me into snares of death.
And when I was in distress, I called upon Thee, and cried to God my Saviour: From the sanctuary of His holy temple, Thy voice heard my cry; and my prayer came before Thee. The earth trembled, and its foundations quaked, as Thou wert angry with them, O Lord. A smoke arose from Thy wrath, and a fire blazed forth from Thy face: Flames leaped up from Thee.
Thou didst descend from heaven, covering the earth in darkness; Thou wentest upon the cherubim, flying on wings of the wind. Thou didst lay down Thy throne for them: the moon stood still before Thee: darkness covered the heavens with clouds. From the brightness of Thy presence, the clouds passed away, and the city and fiery flames were revealed. Thou didst thunder from heaven, and the voice of Thy power was heard.
Thou didst send forth arrows to scatter them, and multiplied the lightning to smite them. Thou didst open fountains of living waters, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered from Thy commandment, O Lord; from the inspiration of Thine angry Spirit. From heaven Thou didst send a pleasant gift, and received it from many waters.
Thou didst deliver me from strong enemies and those who hated me: for Thou art stronger than I. Thou didst precede me in the day of my affliction, and Thou wast established as my strength. Thou didst lead me to broad places: Thou didst preserve me according to Thy will. And Thou shalt reward me with righteousness and purity of hands, because I have walked in the ways of Thine holy ones and have not been unrighteous before Thee.
For all the judgments of God are before me, and His justifications have not departed from me. I shall be blameless with Him and preserve myself from my own lawlessness. Thou shalt reward me according to righteousness and purity of hands in Thy sight. With the venerable, thou shalt be venerable; with the innocent, thou shalt be innocent; with the chosen, thou shalt be chosen; with the rebellious, thou shalt be corrupted.
For Thou hast delivered me from temptations, and led me through the wall of my enemies. God my Saviour, Thy path is blameless: Thy words have been kindled by Thee. A defender of all who rely on Thee. For who is God but Thee; or who is God except our God? Thou hast strengthened me with power, and laid a blameless path before me: as the sun, Thou hast taught my hands to fight, and Thou didst place a golden bow in mine arm: Thou hast given me the protection of salvation, and Thy right hand received me. And Thy chastisement shall instruct me at the end, and Thy chastisement will teach me.
Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and I was not faint-hearted. I overcame my enemies, and they were taken captive until they perish: I afflicted them, and they could not stand before me; they fell beneath my feet. Thou hast strengthened me with power in battle, and Thou didst slay all who arose against me.
Thou gavest me the back of my enemies and those who hated me. They called upon Thee, but Thou didst not deliver them: to Thee they cried, but Thou didst not hear them. As dust before the face of a wind, as chaff swept away by the ways, so have I been delivered from the mouth of men; Thou hast set me at the head of peoples: strangers worked for me and obeyed my voice in their ears.
The sons of the stranger lied to me, the sons of the stranger swore falsely and defiled their own paths. He who lives, let God be blessed, and may God raise up His salvation, making His prayer for Christ and His seed forever.
