When the tomb was opened and found weeping,
The Lord cried out to those hidden by the angel:
"Bring forth the vineyard of the makers,
Preach the word of resurrection:
Rise, O Lord, and give the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weeps, crying out to the governor of the palace:
Where hast thou hidden the eternal life;
Where laidst thou, upon the table with cherubim;
For keeping watch over this, they have fallen asleep through fear.
Give me, O Lord, even as I am with thee,
And let us cry together:
Even though dead in the midst of the dead, yet raised from the dead, glory be to thee.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thou art the strength of my heart, and my refuge, and my fortress, God, my helper, my protector, to whom I cry for help. He is my defender, and the horn of my salvation, and my advocate.
I called upon Thee from the heights against my enemies, and Thou didst uphold me in my sicknesses and wounds; the diseases of hell have afflicted me, and they were a snare for death. And when I was sorrowful, I cried to Thee and besought God of mine own house: Thy voice out of the temple of His holiness heard my cry, and my prayer came before Thee.
The earth trembled and its foundations quaked; the mountains melted with fear at Thy presence. A cloud of smoke went up from Thine anger, and fire blazed forth from Thy face: the flames leaped from Thee. Thou didst descend in the clouds and darkness covered Thy feet. Thou wentest on the cherubim, and flew upon the wings of the wind. Thou didst lay a covering over them; the sun rose before Thee: darkness was in the thick cloud.
From the brightness before Thee, the clouds passed away, the city and the flames were consumed by fire. Thou didst thunder from heaven, and Thy voice came forth out of the heights. Thou didst send arrows and smote the foe, and multiplied the lightning and quenched it. Thou didst open fountains of water, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered from the prohibition of Thy will, O Lord: from the inspiration of the Spirit of Thine anger.
From the heights Thou didst give me comfort, and received me out of many waters. Thou didst preserve me from strong enemies and those who hated me; for Thou art stronger than I. Thou didst precede me in the day of my affliction, and Thou art the strength of my heart. Thou didst lead me to freedom: as Thou wouldest, O Lord.
Thou wilt give me according to my righteousness and according to the cleanness of my hands; for I have kept Thy ways and have not been unrighteous from Thee. For all the judgments of Thee are before me, and the righteousness of Thee has not departed from me. And I shall be blameless with Thee and keep myself from sin.
Thou wilt give me according to my righteousness and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thy Father. With the Venerable Thou shalt be Venerable, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent, and with the chosen Thou shalt be chosen, and with the rebellious Thou shalt be made drunk. For Thou hast delivered men humble from their enemies; and Thou hast humbled the proud by them.
Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O Lord: my God, Thou hast enlightened my darkness. For by Thee I am saved from temptation, and by Thy God I pass through the wall. My God, a blameless path is Thine: the words of Thy mouth are kindled. A protector is He for all who hope in Him.
Who is like Thee, O Lord? Or who is like Thee, O God? Thou hast strengthened me with power; Thou hast laid down a blameless path before me: as an olive Thou hast set me on high, teaching my hands to fight and placing the bow of brass in mine arm. And Thou hast given me for protection from danger, and Thy right hand received me: and Thy chastisement shall instruct me at the end, and Thy chastisement shall teach me.
Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, so that I was not faint-hearted. Thou didst smite my enemies, and they were taken; they could not stand before my feet. And Thou didst give me strength in battle, and Thou didst slay all who arose against me beneath me. And Thou gavest to me the back of mine enemies, and those who hated me Thou hast consumed.
Thou didst not deliver them, for they cried but Thou heardst them not; as dust before the face of a wind, as chaff that passeth away by the way. Thou didst preserve me from the quarrels of men: Thou didst set me at the head of tongues: men whom I knew not worked for me, and in the hearing of Thy ear they obeyed me.
The sons of strangers lied to me, the sons of strangers swore and defiled their own paths. He is alive, O Lord, and blessed be God; may God lift up my salvation, God giving me recompense and making men bow down under me, my deliverer from enemies angry: from those who arose against me Thou hast exalted me, and Thou hast delivered me from the unjust man.
For this I will confess Thee in words, O Lord, and praise Thy name: magnifying salvation of the King and creating hymns for Christ His Son and seed to the age.
