Гро́бꙋ ѿве́рстꙋ, а҆́дꙋ пла́чꙋщꙋсѧ, / мр҃і́а вопїѧ́ше ко скры́вшымсѧ а҆пⷭ҇лѡмъ: / и҆зыди́те вїногра́да дѣ́лателїе, / проповѣ́дите воскрⷭ҇нїѧ сло́во: / воскр҃се гдⷭ҇ь, подаѧ̀ мі́рови ве́лїю млⷭ҇ть.
When the grave was opened and those weeping stood by,
the Resurrection cried out to those hidden in the apostles:
"Bring forth the vineyard makers,
proclaim the word of resurrection:
rise, O Lord, giving the world great mercy."

O Lord, standing before thy grave, Magdalene weeps, beseeching the governor:
Where didst thou hide the eternal life;
Where laidst thou, upon the table with cherubim?
For keeping watch over this, they have fallen asleep through fear.
Give me also, O my Lord,
And let us cry together:
Even though I was dead in the midst of the dead, Thou hast raised me to glory.

I love Thee, O Lord, my stronghold: Thee is my strength and my fortress, my refuge and my deliverer, God my Saviour, my Helper, on whom I call: Thee is my protector, the horn of my salvation, and my defender. I invoke Thee from the heights against my enemies; Thou didst sustain me in times of sickness and hast healed me from unrighteousness. The diseases of hell have afflicted me, foretelling death to me. And when I was sorrowful, I called upon Thee and cried out to God my Saviour: From Thy holy temple heard the voice of my prayer, and my cry before Thee entered into Thine ears. And the earth moved and trembled, and its foundations were shaken and quaked, for Thou wert angry with them, O God. A smoke of anger went up from Thee, and fire issued forth from Thy face: Flames blazed from Thee. And Thou didst descend with Thy heaven, and darkness covered Thy feet. And Thou wentest upon the cherubim, and flew on wings of the wind. And Thou didst lay a covering over them; the moon was hidden by Thy light: Darkness in the clouds of the air. From the brightness before Thee, the clouds passed away, the city and fiery flames. And Thou didst thunder from heaven, and the highest gave voice to His own voice. Thou didst send arrows and scattered them, and multiplied the maulers and smote them. And Thou didst open fountains of living waters, and the foundations of the world were uncovered from Thy prohibition, O Lord, from the inspiration of the Spirit of Thine anger. Thou didst send from heaven and gave me rest, received me from many waters. Thou didst deliver me from strong enemies and from those who hated me: For Thou didst strengthen me more than myself. Thou didst prepare for my day of affliction; and Thee became my strength. And Thou didst lead me to broad places: Thou didst deliver me, as I desired. And Thou shalt reward me according to my righteousness and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thy eyes, for I have kept the ways of Thee and have not been unrighteous from God my Saviour. For all the judgments of Thee are before me, and the righteousness of Thee has not departed from me. And I shall be blameless with Thee and keep myself from the unrighteousness of mine own. And Thou shalt reward me according to my righteousness and according to the cleanness of my hands before Thy eyes. With the venerable thou shalt be venerable, and with the innocent thou shalt be innocent, and with the chosen thou shalt be chosen, and with the rebellious thou shalt be corrupted. For Thou hast delivered men of lowly spirit and hast humbled the proud. For Thou hast enlightened my lamp, O God: My God, Thou hast enlightened my darkness. For by Thee I am saved from temptation, and by Thy God I pass through the wall. God my Saviour, a blameless path is Thine: Thy words are kindled like a fire. A defender of all who call upon Thee. For who is God but Thee; or who is God except our God? God girding me with strength, and laying a blameless path before me: Perfecting my wounds as an hyssop, and setting me on high: Teaching my hands to fight, and placing in my hand a golden bow: And Thou hast given me the protection of salvation, and Thy right hand received me: And Thy chastisement shall correct me at the end, and Thy chastisement will instruct me. Thou didst enlarge my steps under me, and I was not faint-hearted. I have overcome my enemies, and they were taken, until they perish: I have grieved them, and they could not stand, they fell before my feet. And Thou hast given me strength for battle, and Thou hast slept all who rose up against me beneath me. And Thou hast given to me the back of my enemies and hast consumed those who hated me. Thou didst call, but Thou didst not save: To Thee I called, and they heard Me not. And Thou didst deliver me from the quarrels of men: Thou didst set me at the head of tongues: Men whom I knew not worked for me, in the hearing of Thy ear they obeyed Me. Sons of strangers lied to Me, sons of strangers swore and defiled their own way. Living, God is blessed, and let God lift up my salvation, God giving me recompense and subduing men under me, my deliverer from my enemies who are wrathful: From those who rose against me Thou didst exalt me, from the man unjust Thou didst save me. For this I confess Thee in tongues, O Lord, and praise Thy name: Praising the salvation of the King and creating hymns to Christ His Son and seed for ever.
