Irimos:
By life alone we are saved,
And by death we perish;
For life is from Thee, O Lord,
And death Thou hast made for our fall.
Through life we are quickened,
And through death we are destroyed;
For life is Thy gift, O God,
And death Thou didst suffer for us.
Thou art the Life, and Thou art Death,
O Lord our God;
By Thine own Death Thou didst destroy Death,
And by Thine own Resurrection Thou didst give Life.
Through Thy Death, O Lover of Mankind,
We have been freed from the power of death;
For Thou hast broken the bonds of Hades
With the spear of Thy Cross.
Thou art Life and Thou art Death,
O Lord our God;
By Thine own Death Thou didst destroy Death,
And by Thine own Resurrection Thou didst give Life.
Image of the pure joy of Thy countenance, O Immaculate One, revealed a fireproof cup: and now we pray that this fierce calamity may be quenched, that Thou, O Theotokos, mayest evermore be glorified in us.
As, O people without law and without subjection, plotting together with a crafty heart: they judged the proud and unrighteous one; but the Most High upon the ancient wood judged Him, whom we worthy ones glorify!
Hallowed be the Agnus Dei pure, which taketh away the sin of the world, we glorify Thee, risen Thou on the third day with Thy holy and glorious Body, and the Theotokos with Thy divine Spirit: whereof we praising, we magnify.
O Theotokos,
Spasí people Thee, Lord, and those who waited for Thee with Thy holy blood, giving peace to Thy churches, O Lover of mankind, by Thy prayers, Theotokos.

Venerable Irmos: Strange Mystery:
Proslavilysë neizrechennoy siloю tvoyoю krytъ tvoi, gdy, nemoshchnoye bo tvoe pache sily vsymъ vivisya: imeye slychnyi uboya nizlozheni byshcha na zemлю, i niychniy k nbsisi vovvodimy byvayut.
Let death, O hateful death, be slain by the Resurrection of the dead: for Thou, having overcome the living in the netherworld, didst give life freely. Therefore we praise Thy life and resurrection and eternal light.
Eternal nature and unbounded, in three it knows the unity of God's principal essences, in the Holy Spirit, in the Son, and in the Word: upon which by God's wisdom men hope, being saved.

From the root of two there sprang forth a prophecy of two, and God's oracle: but thou, O Virgin, truly didst glorify them both, by bearing the prophesied glory-bearer of the Lord: Him we worthily magnify.
Every praiseworthy, blameless commandment is overcome by the greatness of thy glory. But O Lady, receiving from thy unworthy servants the offering of love for thee with heartfelt song, receive it with gladness.
More precious than thy wonders! For thou art double in unity, more fair than the sun, by whom thou hast given to all a new understanding of the greatest wonder, O All-holy, whose birth none can fathom. Wherefore we glorify thee.
