Irmos: Whom the armies of heaven praise, and tremble with cherubs and seraphim, every breath and creature, sing, bless and exalt to all ages.
Reverend Father Paisios, pray to God for us.
You asked for truly wonderful power from God at your death, O Father! You terrified everyone: when one dead person lay in the church, another was laid in the grave, another was accomplished in the cell: once again you crowned one with glory and health You have laid down another on the bed of illness, so you have humbled those who exalted themselves, and you have exalted the humble, by the power given to you by God.
Reverend Father Paisios, pray to God for us.
Who will not be surprised and who will not come to thought, and who will not cry! and to whom the wondrous image of thy image was not first established, Father Paisius, I do not give a river like a bone: strong in the heart: but like a strong firmament on the water, like none of those that are on it It will be possible to move unless you are hoisted. Who wouldn’t be surprised by the virtue of your meek life?
Glory to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
I alone walked in your light, and did not feel your light: I alone am your food, sweet food, and I have not known your feeder: I alone am your drink, sweet drink, and I have not felt the sweet source flowing from your lips: I am one sheep that has gone astray from your flock, good shepherd, do not be angry with me, beg God to grant time for repentance.
And now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
I am troubled by a storm of sinful cry to you, Pure Lady, through your intercession direct me to saving repentance, and to an all-comforting haven: so that I may see the light of salvation, always darkened by laziness.
