Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee!

Let us fall down as sheep in prayer, O God our Savior: save Thy people, for Thou art the strength of the weak and the correction thereof.

By the sin of the uncreated Lord, we have been greatly envenomed; but early have we been healed by Thy, O Lord, Who hast been envenomed for us: for Thou art the strength of the weak and their correction.

Exalted hath Thou, O Lord, from the abyss, the slayer of all, mighty in Thy power, and didst subdue his strength: for Thou art life, and light, and resurrection.

O Theotokos,

Rejoice with Thee, O Lord, two generations of our forefathers, who have eaten of Thy table and by their transgression have perished: for Thou art a Generation, and before Thine advent didst thou exist, and in Thy generation wast Thou manifested.

And Irmos: From the bowels of Him:

Falling into spiritual deception, Adam, groaning and sighing, is crushed; hoping in the ancient confession of faith: but he rises by the union of the word of faith, and by passion receives the impassible, to be glorified on the throne with the Father and the Spirit.

O Theotokos,

Not shall the depths depart from their unoriginated Parent, in the depths dwelling doth the Virgin's Offspring establish itself, and it is, wherefore before without a Mother, without a Father Incarnate, and whereby by Righteousness doth God bear witness: this is a fearful generation and unspeakable.

And Irmos: Have mercy on us:

Servants of the Lord stand before Thy holy mystery, marvelling at Thy pure and ever-virgin Conception: for Thou didst read, even before the mystery of Incarnation, and by reading didst become incarnate.

Thou didst become incarnate before the former

Be thou slain, O Enemy, by the fruit of thy own life-giving grace, O God-blessed One; and let the adversary be uncovered, and whom we have set free from bonds. Therefore I cry: Break, O passions, the hearts of mine.
