O Soul/Spirit, being led by the Spirit, let us cry out with understanding:
unto the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit:
Glory, and power, and dominion, and every word of good praise,
be unto the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit,
now and ever, and for ever. Amen.
Illuminating with the brightness of Thy coming, O Christ, and enlightening by Thy light the ends of the world, enlighten our hearts with the light of Thy divine understanding, O Righteous One, we who sing to Thee with a pure voice.
By Thy Word the world was made glad with the Gospel, and proclaiming my captivity, Thou didst humble him who held me captive, stripping him naked and revealing Him by a glorious rising up at Thy bidding.
O Theotokos,
More humbly beseeching Thee, all-compassionate One, do not despise: but receive and carry within Thy divine hands, O God, for Thou art our Intercessor to whom I have entrusted myself.
And Irmos: God is the Saviour of the world:
Riches and depth of divine wisdom, O Lord! Receive our confession, having delivered us from the cunning of wickedness: for, suffering by the will of a weak flesh, by Thy own strength, Thou didst raise to life the dead.
God the Son unites our flesh for His sake: and He is crucified, and He dieth: He is buried, and again He riseth: He ascends in glory with His own flesh, Jesus Christ: with Him cometh, and saveth those who serve Him with holiness.
O Theotokos,
Stávy stája duvo čtě, stája stágo rodila ye, vsekh osvěščajuče Izba-viteli. Těmже tyže criciце, i vlčce vseh kakva matr’ ziditel’ta tvárей pravévdějem.
And Irmos: Enlightening with Thy beams:
Rejoice ye heavenly powers, seeing Him: men gather together in gladness with them: by your glory, O Theotokos, have thou and thine united in gladness, for Thou art worthy of glory.
Let all tongues and thoughts move to praise truly human glory and good will, for two stand before them with true hymns of praise, believing in those wonders.
Let praises and glory, double and redoubled, be offered to the all-wise and praiseworthy: for it is a temple of divine glory, worthy of double praise.
