Glory to Thee, O Lord, glory to Thee!
Illuminating with the splendor of Thy coming, O Jesus Christ, and enlightening by Thy light the ends of the world, enlighten our hearts with the light of Thy divine understanding, O Righteous One, singing praise to Thee.
By Thy Word the world hath been made glad with the Gospel, and proclaiming My deliverance to the captives, Thou hast brought low the mighty by their fall, O Lord, revealing Thee in a naked and defenseless manifestation through Thine own uprising, O Spirit of God.
O Theotokos,
More humbly beseeching thee, O all-compassionate, do not despise: but receive and carry within thy merciful heart, O One most bountiful, for thou art our intercessor whom I have entreated.
And Irmos: God is the Saviour of the world:
Riches and depth of divine wisdom, O Lord! Receive our confession of thy wisdom, for thou hast delivered us from the cunning of their craftiness by thine own strength: though suffering willingly through the weakness of our flesh, thou didst raise to life the dead by thine own might.
God the Son unites our flesh for His sake: and He is crucified, and He dieth: He is buried, and again He riseth: He ascends in glory with His own flesh, Jesus Christ: with Him cometh, and saveth them that serve Him with holiness.
O Theotokos,
And Irmos: Enlightening with Thy beams:
Rejoice ye heavenly powers seeing Thee: the gathered multitude of men are glad with them: by Thy laughter, O Lady, hast Thou united twain, whereunto it is meet to glorify Thee.
Let all tongues and thoughts move for the praise of the truly gracious Man, Who standeth before the glory, singing wonders with those that believe in Him by faith.
Let the praise and glory, O Wise and Praiseworthy, be brought also by the Mother of God: for her temple is a dwelling of glory, worthy of honor and glory.
