The Savior descended to the human race, received in swaddling clothes, not abhorring carnal circumcision, cognate after the Mother, without beginning after the Father. To this faithful one we cry: You are our God, have mercy on us.

Seated on a fiery throne in the highest with the Father without beginning and Thy Divine Spirit, Thou didst deign to be born on earth from the Maiden, Thy inexperienced Mother, Jesus: for this reason Thou wast circumcised as a man of the day. Glory to Your all-good advice, glory to Your discernment, glory to Your condescension, the only one who loves mankind.

Thy message went out into the whole earth, as if it had received your word, which thou hast divinely taught, thou hast clarified the nature of beings, thou hast adorned human customs, the royal priesthood, reverend father: pray to Christ God that our souls may be saved.
