Genesis reading. [Gen.7:6–9]

About six hundred years ago, a flood of water came upon the earth. And Noah was there, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him into the ark, the waters for the flood. And from clean birds, and from unclean birds, and from clean cattle, and from unclean cattle, [and from beasts], and from every creeping thing that creeps on the earth: Two and two went down to Noah into the ark, male and female, like the commandments of [the Lord] God to Noah.

Reading Genesis [7:6–9]

Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of water came upon the earth. And Noah, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, entered into the ark from the waters of the flood. And from clean birds, and from unclean birds, and from clean cattle, and from unclean cattle, and from wild beasts, and from every creeping thing that crawls on the earth, two by two of all came to Noah into the ark, male and female, as the Lord God commanded Noah.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 52), tone 4: When the Lord returns the captivity of His people, Jacob will rejoice and Israel will rejoice.

Verse: The speech is foolish in his heart: there is no God.

Prokeimenon (Psalm 52), tone 4: When the Lord returns His people from captivity, Jacob will rejoice and Israel will rejoice.

Verse: The madman said in his heart: “There is no God.”

Reading parables. [Prov.9:12–18]

Son, if you are wise, you will be wise for yourself, and for your sincere ones: if you are evil, you will only learn evil. the son will be punished wisely, but the fool will be used as a servant. He who is established in lies, this one feeds the winds, the same one will marry the birds that soar: forsake the paths of your grapes, but get lost in the paths of your agriculture: it passes through the desert waterless, and the land determined by thirst, but barrenness gathers with its hands. A woman who is crazy and insolent is poor in bread, beyond shame. She sits at the door of her house, on the capital of the square, calling on those who pass by and correct their ways: Let him who is the most foolish among you turn aside to me: and I command those without understanding, saying: Touch the hidden bread into sweetness, and drink the sweet water of the thief. He doesn’t know that her earthly creatures perish and are found in the depths of hell. but jump back, do not hesitate in her place, direct your eye lower to her: so you will pass through strange water, and you will pass over a strange river.

Stay away from strange water, and do not drink from strange springs: may you live a long time, and life will be added to you.

Reading the book of Proverbs [9:12–18]

My son! If you are wise, you will be wise for yourself and for your neighbors, and if you are evil, then you alone will learn evil: a learned son will be wise, but a fool will be used as a servant. He who is established in a lie feeds the winds, he chases the flying birds. For he has left the ways of his vineyard and strayed from the paths of his field; passes through a waterless desert and a land doomed to thirst, collecting barrenness with his hands. A reckless and impudent woman needs a piece of bread - she knows no shame; sits at the door of his house and sits openly in the square, inviting those passing by, going straight on their own paths: “Whoever is the most foolish among you, let him turn aside to me, and I command the weak-minded, saying: touch the secret bread with pleasure and drink the sweet stolen water.” And such a person does not know that her earthly creatures perish, and descends to the bottom of hell. But you run away, don’t linger where she is, don’t let your gaze rest on her; For in this way you will pass through strange water and cross a strange river.

Stay away from other people's water and do not drink from someone else's source, so that you may live a long time and the years of your life may be prolonged.
