Who of the amphibians, crawling like this, will anger God when? Who, with the desires of malice, is the successor and abode of sin, like the accursed one? but God, the author of mercy, show mercy to me.

Which of the earthly beings, having stumbled*, angered God so much? And who followed vicious aspirations and showed himself to be a haven of sin, like me, unfortunate one? But You have pity on me, O Merciful God!

* literally: slipping

Pray to the God-like Angels of strength, the merciful God, to save the soul, in the abyss of worldly pleasures, and overwhelmed by the anxiety of passions, and in distress in the presence of opposing spirits.

Regiments of god-like angels, [I ask you], beg from the easily Forgiving God for deliverance for the soul caught in a storm and suffering disaster in the abyss of the pleasures of life under the blows of the waves of passions due to the excuses of enemy spirits!

Come, soul, the krills are relieved, by the fasting of virtues, rise from the evil that is so tempting, and enjoy the brightest visions, food for those who intercede with virtues, God-like by faith.

Come, soul, fly on the wings of virtues thanks to fasting, rise from base passions! In the brightest contemplations leading to virtue, taste the joy of becoming godlike through faith!

Theotokos: Whoever is heard will create praise, Who was born to You more than the mind, we praise the Lord, the Pure One, and the Lord, Whom the angelic bureaucracy praises; Pray for this for people who have sinned, O Virgin Unartificed.

Theotokos: Who can express praise to You, who superintelligently gave birth to the Lord of the Lord, O Pure One? The leaders of the angelic forces praise him most peacefully; Pray to Him earnestly for the people who have sinned, O Virgin, who has not tasted marriage!

Another irmos: Isaiah rejoices:

Another three-song. Irmos: Rejoice, Isaiah...

It is an acceptable time, the day of salvation, let us bring to God the gifts of virtues, in which we have put aside the works of darkness, brothers, let us put on the armor of light, as Paul cries.

[Now] it’s a favorable time, a saving time. Let us, brothers, bring the gifts of virtues to God, and in Him, having stripped ourselves of dark deeds, we will put on the armor of light, as Paul exclaimed!*

*See Rom.13:12

Come, as the Lord, let us fast kill the enemy, and hereby we too will crush his arrows and traps: come for me, Satan, who always says, always wants to tempt us.

Since the Lord struck the Enemy with fasting, let us, with the help of fasting, break his arrows and destroy his intrigues! “Follow me, Satan!” let everyone say when he is going to tempt us!

Glory: Trinity: I praise Thee as One in Existence, the Beginningless Trinity, the Honest Life-Giving, the Inseparable Unity, the Unbegotten Father, and the begotten Word, and the Son, and the Holy Soul, save we, singing Thee.

Trinity In consubstantiality I glorify You, Beginningless Trinity, Sacred, Life-Giving, Undivided Unity. Unborn Father, and the Begotten Word, and the Son, and the All-Holy Spirit, save us, who sing of You in hymns!

And now: Theotokos: Thy birth, O Mother of God, is beyond the mind, without a husband, for conception was in Thee, and a virgin birth was born, for God is born: He is also magnified, Thee, the Virgin, we please.

Theotokos. The way You gave birth, Mother of God, exceeds understanding: for conception took place in You without a husband, virgin Childbirth took place, for He who was born by You is God. We exalt Him and we glorify You, Virgo!

Καὶ νῦν…

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

After fasting, grief has been added to prayers, and with a pure heart we see God, the tablets receiving the commandments inside, like Moses, shining with glory, His love face.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee!

Through fasting, climbing the mountain of prayer, and with a pure heart we will see God! Let us accept the tablets of the commandments within ourselves, like Moses, and let our faces shine with glory of his love!

Irmos: Isaiah rejoiced, I had a virgin in my womb, and gave birth to the Son Immanuel, God and man, His name is East, His name is magnified, We please the Virgin.

Irmos. Rejoice, Isaiah, the Virgin took into her womb and gave birth to Emmanuel the Son, gave birth to God and Man! His name is Sunrise. We exalt Him and we glorify You, Virgo!

The verse is self-vocal, voice three:

Stichera on verse, tone 3.

Let us begin, people, the immaculate fast, which is the salvation of souls, let us serve the Lord with fear, we will anoint our heads with the oil of benevolence, and we will wash our faces with clean water, not with many verbiage in prayers, but Because we have learned, let us cry out: Our Father, who is in heaven, forgive us our sins, as you are a Lover of mankind.

Let us begin, peoples, Immaculate Fasting is the salvation of souls; let us serve the Lord without complaint with fear, and anoint [our] heads with the oil of good deeds;

(Δίς)

Verse: In the morning we were filled with Thy mercy, O Lord, and we rejoiced and rejoiced, all our days we rejoiced, for the days in this day you humbled us, in the summer in this day we saw evil. And look upon Thy servants, and Thy works, and instruct their sons.

The post is coming...

Verse: Early in the morning we were filled with Your mercy, O Lord, and we rejoiced and were glad. All our days we have rejoiced: for the days in which You humbled us, for the years in which we saw evil. And look upon Thy servants and Thy works, and show the way to their sons. (Ps. 89:14–16)

And we repeat the same stichera. Let us begin, peoples, Immaculate Lent...
