1. My sweetest Savior and God! I have not done anything good or pleasing before You, but, as a diligent doer of sin, I am a worthy son of hell. So if I am to be given over to eternal torment, then this is due to me in fairness. If only You were not saddened by me, but looked at me with a joyful face. Then for me hell will become a bright paradise.
2. I thank You, my Christ, for the good that You have given me and for the evil from which I suffer. Glory to Thee, glory to Thee, my God!
3. Glory to the wisdom and knowledge of God, who arranges the healing of our soul in many ways. Glory and praise always, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.
4. O my Jesus, sweet love! Before I saw You, You saw me.
O light of my soul! Before I knew You, You made me know Yourself. And before I loved, You loved me.
O life and my sweet breath, I was in darkness, and Your sweet voice woke me up and called me. I saw You when You knew me. Your knowledge is contemplation of You. O my joy and spiritual joy! O heavenly zeal! O love that burns and does not burn!
