Stága Petra stúdijskágwa:
O Soul of Peter, student's,
Petra's Soul, of the student's,
Thy study was fervent and zealous,
Thy heart was filled with compunction and tenderness.
Always Thou didst seek the truth,
Sudden were not Thy efforts, but ever constant.
Thou wast a stranger in this world,
A creature led astray by deceit.
The spectacle of vanity Thou sawest clearly,
And Thy heart yearned for the glory of God.
O Soul of Peter, student's,
Thy right hand was mighty in prayer,
Thy arm strong in mercy and compassion.
Ever didst Thou seek the righteousness of God,
And Thy spirit longed for His divine presence.
In Thee we see the image of a true disciple,
Who sought not earthly glory but heavenly.
O Peter, student's Soul,
Thy life was a testament to faith and hope,
A light shining in the darkness of this world.
May our hearts be ever drawn to Thee,
That we too may seek the life eternal.
To Thee, O Most Pure Mother of God, with great reverence I fall down and pray: Lord, King, because continually I sin against Thee and Thy Son, and many times I confess, finding myself in a lie before God, and trembling in confession: will Thou indeed smite me, and again weigh heavily upon me at the appointed time. Knowing this, O my Lady Theotokos, my Master, I pray Thee, to have mercy on me, to strengthen me, and to grant good works. For, O my Lord, because with all my heart I hate the deeds of my sin, and with all my mind I love Thy Law: but I do not know, O Most Pure Mother, from whence I should hate, that I might also love, and thus commit evil. Do not allow, O Most Pure Mother, my will to accomplish these things, for it is not good; but may Thy will and the will of Thy Son be done: that Thou mayest save me, enlighten me, and grant eternal mercy to this servant, so that I might cease from all unclean deeds, and have lived henceforth in obedience to Thee, which is meet for all glory, honor, and power, with Thee, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
