To Thee, O Most Pure Mother of God, with great reverence I fall down and pray: Lord, King, because continually I sin against Thee and Thy God, and many times I confess, lying before Thee, and confessing tremblingly: wilt Thou indeed smite me, and again at the appointed time oppress me. Knowing this, O my Lady Theotokos, my Master, I pray Thee, that Thou mayest forgive me, strengthen me, and work good for me. For, O my Lady Theotokos, because with all my heart I hate the deeds of my sin, and with all my mind love the law of Thy God: but I do not know, O Most Pure Mother, from whence I hate, that I may also love, and thus commit sin. Do not permit, O Most Pure Mother, my will to be fulfilled, for it is not good; but let Thy will and the will of Thy God be done: that Thou mayest save me, enlighten me, and give me good. Now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
