Before the Word was born of the Father ever from everlasting, and was made flesh from the Virgin's womb, come let us adore: for having endured, He was delivered up to death by burial, as He Himself willed; and He rose from the dead, saving me, a wanderer in sin.

Jesus Christ hath saved us, whom having crucified upon the cross by the hands of men, he hath put to naught the power of death: we glorify him in his three-day resurrection.

From the Archangel we hymn the Resurrection of Jesus Christ: for by Him is our soul saved, and in His glory more terrible and powerful than ever cometh again to judge the world, which He created.

Glory, and praise now to Thee, O Virgin Mother, Dogmatical, Voice of the Gospel:

Thou hast revealed the mysteries! Thou hast shown wonders, proclaiming the Godhead; for Emmanuel is the gate of death overcome by His love for man, while the virgin's key was not broken by God: but He went forth from the womb as heard, and was conceived as heard: without passion He entered, unspeakably went forth, according to the prophecy spoken: these gates shall be shut: none shall go in through them, save One, the Lord Jesus Christ, who holds the key of prayer.

Thy Resurrection, O Jesus Christ, hath enlightened all the world, and by Thy invocation Thou hast called unto Thee Thy creation: O All-powerful Lord, glory be to Thee.

All ye who sorrow, joy; and thou, O Intercessor Theotokos, and thou, O Nourisher of the poor, comfort for strangers, and staff for the blind, visitation for the sick, and those striving in prayer and intercessor, and helper of the needy, most holy Mother of God, thou who art exalted: strive, we pray thee, to save thy servants.

Every unrighteous deed, every sin, not endured with patience I have committed: I am worthy of every condemnation! O give me repentance, O Lord, that I may not be condemned there; for Thou wilt write my prayer-maiden, my intercessor, to shame me not, O faithful herald of God.

And now, O God, when we have fallen into the place of prayer, and to the Creator and Intercessor we have no access: may it not be that Thou, O God, in Thy steadfastness wilt not hear our supplication; but rather by Thy love hast Thou humbled those who have come under the shelter of Thy roof, O God of our fathers: strive then, and give us Thy help, and now deliver us from our present anger.

Whoever praises Thee according to Thy dignity and glorifieth Thee, O virgin Evangelist, who hast brought about the salvation of the world: we call Thee with joy, saying: Rejoice, thou that didst save Adam, and by thy conception didst separate what was joined. Rejoice, thou that didst enlighten our race with the light of Thy resurrection and of God Our Lord's: for the heavenly race doth not cease to glorify Thee.
